@@johnnyasmr6761 I organize mine by the last four numbers on the sticker label. Usually they are marked as (example) 123-4567 or the 1234-5678 depending on your route you should either have 3 or 4 digits before the dash. I organize mine by the first digit of the last 4 numbers. So for the first example label I gave you, I would consider that label/package a “4” once you sort all the packages by the first digit after the dash, you can organize them in your van however you want. All your 1’s,2’s,3’s,4’, and so on should all be in their own piles wherever you put them in your van. I hope that made sense!!

I used to get paid a base amount for my route of 30 dollars drive time getting to and returning from my route. I was paid 1.25 per stop and .25 per package. I was giving an 800 monthly bonus for 98.7 percent on time delivery. So for example, an average Walmart stop would be 1.25 for the stop and average 40 packages so 10.00- an 11.25 dollar stop. Residential, you would make money on the number of stops per hour. I would start at 7:00 Am and be back at the barn by 5:30 unless I had a late pickup or a signature required package I had to get off the truck that day. My checks were 1200-1500 per week. During peak, I had a helper and would make 1700-2000 per week. I would work 14 hour days, but the route was easier because I had the helper running packages to to door. A helper would increase my productivity by 50 percent and was paid on a day basis.

UPS pays well but those folks earn every penny of it. Their delivery drivers probably do twice as many stops per day as a FedEx Express driver but only get paid 25% more per hour. I would personally prefer to take my time and chill on my route and max out the OT hours than run like a bat out of hell. And don't forget the motto of UPS managers -- "How can I fire a driver today?" The hatred between UPS management and their workers is palpable. Don't get me wrong-- I like UPS. Their hard work and top pay lifts all wages of delivery drivers in general. Next time you see a UPS box car driver at a truck stop, buy him a sody-pop. He's helping all of us in the transportation industry.

And I do less that 110 stops a day. This peak highest I went was 130 -140. Never work for a contractor who owns nothing but residential routes. Those are the worst to work for. Do you also get paid for the hours that you work before starting your actual route? Like when you come in to organize your truck, I just got hired and am coming in at 7:30am to fix my truck but don’t dispatch until about 9:00am so trying to see if I’ll still get paid for the time I come in earlier to get everything organized

Is there any chance you can do an amazon dsp vs fedex ground video before 2024 ends? You worked fedex ground and are doing amazon dsp now. I would love to hear the difference now since the amazon crew got a bump in pay and you guys are now doing pickups. Hope this comment reaches you and you consider my request.

I'd much rather get paid by the hour. I've done other route jobs like pest control and lawn care. And if you get by by the stop, your losing money. Sometimes your route gets spread out and it takes almost 20-30 minutes to get to your next stop. I have no idea how FedEx and UPS are but there were definitely times when my lawncare route was very spread out and I was just losing money.

If u don’t mind me asking? The Fed Ex vehicle. When u are driving on the parking lot. Does the sound of your vehicle makes it sounds or look like you are speeding? Because I work at a grocery store. I’m also Cart pusher. I was bring shopping carts from the parking lot onto the sidewalk of the store and I felt this Fed Ex driver was speeding or maybe it’s my bad imagination.

Amazon is modern day slavery..... warehouse, even driving your own car for them is shit. I do what we call "timers" BTW 5 -10 drops must be delivered before or on either 9 o'clock 10 or 12 .... Once I finish this ... Usually around 9:30am .... I pick up large packages that route drivers leave behind .... Around 5 bulk stops .... finish by 2-3pm ... £180 .....

You're underpaid by a few bucks, you should be making at least $21.00 an hour. To think some fast food and retailers are offering $15.00+ and hour and you're only few bucks above them with a labor intensive job is unsatisfactory.

You need a year of commercial driving within the last three years, and nothing on your license within that period. Uber, doordash, etc etc. If you don't got that, your best bet is go for a switcher position, that counts as well.
