Sir. Your advice is rock solid. I'm not a gang member nor a criminal, your experience and wisdom of time in the shit show as you call it is sombre. But your quote always do better than how your parents raised you. Made me realise one thing. Your spot on. I'm tough on myself, a little tough on my kids, in the right way of course not physically or mentally abusive. But listening to you made me appreciate they are doing better at their age than I was doing. And I have a great job well paying albeit co parenting with their mother who is amazing. But thankyou. Really I admire your courage and transparency to talk about your experiences. Thankyou again sir. Hi from Western Australia mate!

I recently laid my patch down after 30 years. I am not going to mention any of the clubs I was in. I was not in the one he was talking about. I basically grew up just like he mentioned. Frankly I should have done it a lot sooner. It got to be where there was absolutely no benefit compared to the risk involved. I always dreamed of the clubs could live in peace and just let each other ride but unfortunately that will never be the case. Now that I ride slick back I wonder why I ever joined a club in the first place. I have nothing bad to say about any particular club but as they say life is too short.

Clubs have changed so much , I was in a diamond club 79-89. Those were the best of times. When clubs structured themselves like La cosa nostra, well they are not a club anymore, and the infighting begins. You got young members who have had no direction except to operate an Xbox. As someone who was on the other side in a red and white state, we used to laugh because you would NEVER see an angels patch unless they were in a group at least 5 or more. Them dudes outnumbered us 10 to one, but we were the only ones flying by ourselves. They would hide in the house and send support clubs out to hold it down. Not saying everywhere was like that because in the state next to us, the angels had some legit killers, but once the standard starts dropping in places it leads to you're enemy growing. A lot of the big 5 clubs are having all their areas invaded because coward politicians kicked the gangsters out to avoid Rico and just wanted to love off the name. Thats well and good until you tested, now bandidos are getting rolled in Texas, outlaws are being attacked in Florida and Chicago, and angels are getting blasted in the Carolinas and California,and the sons lost colorado years ago.They better all Barry the hatchet and unite or these new up and coming clubs, and the mongol pagan alliance, are going to shut them down.thats no disrespect I want the old clubs to survive, im just keeping it real as someone who left a big 5 club myself because of dumb politics

Personally I think that gang life is far more likely to ruin you as a human being than build you up. It just doesn't result in a respectable man when a man throws caution to the wind for the sake of "freedom" only to wake up one day, old and tired with a whole lifetime of regrets to look back on only to realise now, with all that baggage it's too late to truly live a "good life" in the future. When I see motorcycle gangs with their jackets covered with patches and eyes full of grim determination, I do not see respectable human beings, I just see a bunch of potentially violent people who are to be feared, not respected,... just feared. Remember, fear is not respect. Fear breeds resentment. Resentment breeds hate. And it is really hard to respect someone you hate. And if hate is all you have, and brotherly love is merely a metaphor for being a gang member that just follows the rules until of course a rule gets broken, which results in getting kicked out, shunned, hated and despised by your former fellows,... honestly what is the point? When even the man who is supposed to be the leader realizes, "I really shouldn't be doing this anymore, probably never should've been doing this from the start.", decides to leave that life behind because he realised, a bit too late, that the one thing that should've mattered is the one thing he neglected the most. Family. When I was younger I used to think the Hell's Angels were cool. A group of guys who just enjoyed the freedom of the open road, not being tied down with the daily grind of 9 to 5 life supporting a family. Looking back at the naive adulation of that sort of "freedom" I realize it's not "freedom" at all. It's a life wasted trying to maintain an image, a persona that really only ends with you being a tired old man,... living by himself,... possibly spending the rest of his life regretting. That is not an end I'd want to look foward to.

As someone with 8 year's in a 1% club, Rob is right on with his observations. Greed, money and drugs will destroy motorcycle clubs. And he's right, the only thing I miss is the riding, and the few true brothers I had.

Very good content, man! It doesn’t look like you recommend even prospecting for 81 anymore. Would you even recommend the “Hang Around” phase??

Every man can make his Own decisions ... if your single 21 and have a bike and ride like there's no tomorrow fuck yeah get it but remember the club suffers no fools ..

If youre not going to prospect or join a club, why "hang around" and get involved in the shit? You can go do all the riding you want and hang out with whoever you want and not have to deal with any of the BS..

It's definitely not for everyone , sometimes it's better to just be an associate or a supporter and have a good time , it's a very fine line tho so tread careful if you come around and like what you see then jump in both feet , if not just stay independent and free man ...

Rob I believe any of us that put our Brothers ahead of Ol Ladies and their kids feels much the same way as you. But if I could go back I don’t think that would change much, because we knew what we signed up for when we started down that road. Brothers before mothers before others, us against them and if you ain’t us, your them. It is what it is.

I didn't have any kids when I started and I didn't plan on having kids but when it happens I have a new responsibility moral obligation and it's the right thing to do when it registered my head, I was coming to the realization I could not give the same commitment to my club I caught a case went to prison and they were out of my life for more like the better part of five years and being separated from there mom all that time it just wasn't gonna work so it went to separating court battles and child support and still looking at more time for getting off parole and jumping back into the club both feet so yeah I new way happened but it's not the way i eas headed till I just had that moment of clarity and realized I want to raise my kids not some one I never met while I'm in prison and decided to do better be a father and hear my son's call me dad instead of some body who has a different last name ... I made them I wanted to be in there lives free to see them in sports and school and becoming their own man and that what is wrong nowadays you have kids trying to raise men ... I'm the man raising me lil men to be respectful men that contribute to society positively ...

To be fair to the argument, it was common knowledge 30 years ago in the East Bay, “Three HA’s can keep a secret if two are dead.” You SHOULD know what you are REALLY getting yourself into and it AIN’T Sons of Malarkey.

Can anybody shed some light on the treaty Rob talks about between the Mongols MC and the HAMC? Treaty to stay out of each others territory?
@robertsmith1030
11 ай бұрын
Had a treaty for like ten years because of the heat the war was bringing down on the two clubs , but as you can imagine the cuts went deep and enidible fault was looming and proceeded to kick off again in early 2000... and by Laughlin 2002 was beyond in full swing again
