I thought your number was going to be higher because everything in your home just looks so nice and put together lol but that's basically my budget as well so I feel better about it. I thought i was being cheap honestly

Heck no girl! You’re smart with your money! Pretty much nobody these says gets paid enough so the fact that you’re making an effort to get the amazing furniture pieces you deserve for amazing, realistic prices is smart. Slay queen and have a great day😊

1. Make a budget in excel 2. Put things away in a room and slowly buy them spread out in the months leading up to moving in 3. Get apartment stuff for Christmas and your birthday like bedding and plates 4. Set aside money for a bed

You can furnish an apartment even less than that, just depends on how much you get and spend on each item. 💜 I actually like the minimalism though. 💜

Luckily, the furniture in my first house was given to me by the previous owner. However, I've got my eye on a few other homes, and the cost to furnish each one the way I want will cost between 4 - 6 figures....yeah I know it's crazy but to me, expensive homes don't deserve cheap furniture.

Thanks Sophia! Defs helpful. I’ve lived in an apartment for a while but moving into my first unfurnished one soon. I’m really surprised at the total. It’s kind of freaking me out. If you don’t mind answering, what got it to the $5000? from what I’ve seen beds and couches are usually the big items so I was surprised that you bed was less than a $1000 but your total was so high
@BySophiaLee

Hi!! So, my biggest purchase was definitely my couch but then I also got furniture and bed supplies for two bedrooms which also spiked the total majorly. I'm writing a blog post right now where I'm dividing out everything I spent so you can see exactly where that money went! I'll link it here once I'm done :)
