Hourly minimum pay for tipped employees (service workers) is different than the federal minimum wage in the U.S. in many states. As a tipped server I made $2.83 an hour before cash and credit tips in Pennsylvania. P.S. Love your videos. I will be attending bartending school next week. :)

I guess it’s all subjective! I am a bartender in NYC, DC, and ATL. I began bartending/ serving at pretty fancy restaurants and would take home between $125-$400+! The more I got in the swing of the job and restaurants I made no less than $200. Then I started working in nightlife and I make between $700-$1500+ and we get payed sh**… like literally $2.25 which is nuts!!!

Hey that sounds nice. Where were you trained for bartending? I am thinking about the European Bartender School but for the price I would love to know which school is the best to connect you with jobs. You seem to know a lot about F&B ❤

Actually out here in Canada most bartenders haven’t had any schooling for it, most just have on the job training!

@@davidblake1 that is 26.80 USD an hour. It is good for the industry but i have no idea how you can justify American bartenders making less. My local bartender here in NYC does 300+ bucks a night which translates to 414.04+ Canadian dollars a night.

@@IamAWESOME3980 I did an average that you can potentially make more in Canada with our hourly being higher..there are obvs job in the US that will make higher..and you have one of them! Good job

Bruv u earn in CAD, they earn in USD. If a guy earns 15 USD/hr, then it will be 19.5 CAD which is higher than ur paygrade. Just do ur research and calculations before u say something.

That is true..but like I said in the video most states make about 8-11 $ an hour…which In Canadian $ is still below the average server/bartender wage in canada :)

Yeah both countries have advantages & disadvantages. I like that Canada has a high hourly rate that guarantees a decent minimum weekly salary. I bartend in Miami Beach where a 20 percent gratuity is automatically added on every sale and no house tip-out. Our hourly pay here is usually around 8 dollars plus tips.
