Good info to know, thanks Rebecca! And an extra thanks for mentioning that warp and pretty much any kind of string, yarn etc. is a strangle hazard for our feathered friends.

i recently bought a fifty dollar, square, 20 inchnotched, non-adjustable, frame loom...i really want to attempt a mini warp weighted style table top tapestry loom. my first thought is to use thick dowels to roll the 'back of warp" up and tension it behind the frame with pegs to the frame, i've seen old looms with this. i don't need yardage... just yard. lol. thanks for being a steward of this lifestyle!

I've been using warp and weft waste for stuffing small textile items, it works well! You could use it to stuff a knitted chicken or two (or twelve!)
