Theres room to squeeze another 100+ whp out of this with bolt ons while still being on pump gas. The new gt is impressive and has alot of tech to allow it to make the power it does plus 12:1 compression and dual fual along with variable cam timing etc. Its just different ways to make power this car has a small blower on it stock with restrictive exhaust and like 8.4:1 compression so its a totally different way to make power.

First I've ever seen anyone get one less than I got mine for lol. In May 2020 I got my 07 with 108k clean title and tasteful bolt ons for 16500. Congrats you got me beat that is the lowest price gt500 I've ever seen lol. The driveline is worth over 10k lol.

182k miles in 7 yrs. That must have been a ton hwy miles. Probably a relatively healthy engine

Might as well build the motor with forged internals and throw a big blower on it probably saved enough to do it by buyin such a high mileage car

Bought my 07 gt500 in 2016 with 18k. Now at 63k... Not paying to look at it. BTW charge air cooling upgrades are the first mods any stock gt500 owner should do. These cars drop power like a brick as they heat up.

How much would a high mileage Mustang like this cost, and how much would it cost to fix up the engine to its original performance?

The Carfax was about 5 miles long on the services this car had. That honestly was one of the selling points when I bought this one. The oil was changed every 3-5K miles with Motorcraft.
