I'd never have thought a video about a projector would be interesting, but you made interesting that's for sure.

Thanks for your comment! :) In the manual at 2,2m they mention a 72 inch screen. So therefore I would awesome it would be a little bit less than that, like 66-67inch?

You didn't compare it to any $1000 Espon/LG/Viewsonic/Optoma projectors that are actually good (The Xiaomi projector isn't good). The fact that you need to turn the lights off and it still shows a faded image makes it apparent that the advertised "5000 lumens" is absolutely fake. It's probably 100 lumens at best. That alone is enough to turn me off from buying this at all.

Of course a 1000€ projector is much better than this 100€ chinese thing (well it should be, it costs about 10 times as much). This isnt the point of such a cheap projector though. Its so small that i can basically put it anywhere, the setup is very easy, and the price is so low, that i really dont care that much about the picture quality. For example, if i would get a 1000€ projector i would also look into a 200-300€ screen (so even more money) to take full advantage of such a projector. Which a cheap projector like this, you dont even worry about that, as the picture quality is not great to begin with. But its good enough for playing old Sega Games. So yes, i do understand your critique. I would just say that this is a completely different use case.

Ever get a QR Code come up? I did, trying to hook up my iPad mini to the Apeman 550 Projector. I did it once before and it worked, but at the moment I keep getting the QR Code and I don’t know how to get past it?

This is an great general purpose use projector.I have an 6 1/2 foot by 5/12 foot screen in the bedroom and this unit produces an excellent picture. The room is darkened for best results. If you use this outdoors make sure it is dark outside otherwise you will not have good results but if it is dark you will enjoy this projector's performance. This is my personal experience your results may vary.Wayne N0UDQ

Thanks Toby, the review helped. Is the heat output high for this projector? Have you experienced it cutting out? I found that my old projector used to cut out because it was over heating.

Not directly to the projector. I just would recommend you to connect the Bluetooth speakers to whatever device you got connected to the projector. In my case i connect my speakers to the FireTV Stick via Bluetooth.

For the Firestick to control the projector - did you add the projector as a TV? There’s no option for Apeman as a TV brand so I’m not sure how you got that set up.

No, I said that the projector seems to support the basic HDMI CEC standard. Thats why you can turn on the projector with the fire tv remote.
