The scary music really works with the images of the dead pirates The funny music sort of works with Jack Sparrow noticing the boat has flooded The sad music really works with the opening 2 shots but wouldn't work as a character introduction, it would work better after a dramatic scene The epic original music works with the overall movie but if that wasn't the original, I wouldn't think it worked with this scene.

@@braigbrothers Some ELA Hw about how music can change the mood of a story
@isaackandappassery1491
3 жыл бұрын
For all who need it Version 1: The dynamics are farte and the timbre is mostly copper, which gives it a grandiose and triumphant atmosphere, as well as the tempo of the walking rhythm. Version 2 The tempo is slow and the dynamics are stronger in order to give a scary feeling. The music is dissonant and clashy, which makes it more chaotic. The instruments used are very high-pitched and have higher pitches, as well as longer note values Version 3 The tempo is lively and the dynamics are mezzo-farte. The variety of instruments and the short note values create a light hearted mood Version 4 The tempo is slow and the dynamics are very soft, which creates a sad atmosphere. The use of stringed instruments further accentuates this feeling of sadness and the calmness makes it feel like a song about self-reflection. hope this helps ,you whoever you are.

The reason for this is because of youtube's copyright infringement. Although technically under legal standpoint this is fair use, youtube's bot doesn't know that, forcing the video to be a smaller resolution so the bot doesn't pick up on the original copyrighted video.

For anyone doing online school here is my music class assignment questions and my answers. Hope it helps. 1.) While you are listening, take notes about how each one of these versions makes you feel. Be descriptive as possible. How do you feel about Johnny Depp's character with each music film clip? You must specifically talk about what kind of character J. Depp appears to be given the music you hear in each clip to receive credit for this question. Triumphant and Victorious: This clip makes it look like Sparrow is the greatest pirate of all time. Even though you see him in a small sinking ship you think he must have won a great battle and that ship is all he had left. Once he salutes his fallen comrades that got hung, you see Sparrow as a hero. Scary and Foreboding: This clip makes me anxious waiting for something bad to happen. You see captain jack scooping water from his boat and I'm anticipating something to happen to his boat. Then I see the dead pirates hanging and it makes it look like Sparrow is heading into very dangerous land. It appears that Sparrow is going to that land to save his comrades knowing he may die. Comical: This clip makes Sparrow look like a clown. This music really makes his body language shine. The way he moves around his boat and scooping water out appears like Sparrow has no idea what he is doing. Sad and Thoughtful: This clip makes you feel sorry for Sparrow. This music with the clips makes it look like it's the end of a sad movie. Where Jack was a hero who failed to protect his comrades that got hung. And all he has left is a small sinking ship 2.) Are these examples evidence that music shapes the way we think about movies? These are great examples of how music can shape a movie. Music is what gets the viewers' attention and can make them feel a certain way. Music can make a horror movie funny and a sad movie scary. 3.) In movies and TV, this music is part of the film's score. The film score is supposed to supplement the audience with a musical interpretation of what is happening on the screen but is often thought of as secondary to the action of the actors and plot. Psychologically speaking, after listening to the clips you just heard, do you think this music plays a secondary role, or something more vital? I think the movie plays a more vital role in a movie because unless your deaf the music is what captures the viewers emotions. The more dramatic the music the more anticipation the viewer builds up.

Not sure if anyone doing the same questions I am will be here but I mean, have some free answers I guess Triumphant + Victorious: It sort of stresses the potential of the featured character Scary and Foreboding: It seems as if the boat is sailing into an unfriendly dock. Comical : It seems as though it would be the opening theme to a TV show about a goofy pirate. Sad and Thoughtful : It seems like the character is looking upon a place of significance, and maybe reflecting on it, in the first shot. In the second shot, it seems as if he has realised his boat is sinking and is doomed to drown. Also, Hi Mr Starbuck's music class if you're also looking at the comments to avoid work-

When placing music into a film, you need to consider a lot of things, one of them being the tempo of the scene. It makes no sence putting sad and slow music here when you can see wind blowing through Johnny Depp's hair. Yes, music can change how a scene is perceived, but it's not just about the music.
@toastmcporridge8069

exactly what i was thinking too. the tempo of the pieces picked for the video don't fit the tempo of the action on screen so the desired effect is lost.

the trick is to get everything on scene in rhythm with the different instruments, the wind goes perfectly in time with the drums, the horn section goes perfectly in time with the camera movements, the string section is in time with Jack descending from the crows nest, and the clashing cymbals work well with the scene of Jack throwing the water out of the boat.
