Dogs can sense a person's disability. Chloe licking Shane is her trying to help heal him. I have severe RA and I have 2 Chihuahuas. Kaiyah insists on licking my swollen ankles, feet, wrists and hands. Kaylah realized when she was a puppy cutting her nails was going to be painful and difficult for me, so she literally taught herself to bite off her own nails. She even tried to teach Kaiyah how to do it but she's not able to. You both are very blessed to have Chloe. Take care 🙂♥️

i dont know if its a trying to heal us thing, but i think there is definitely some truth in other animals being able to sense our disabilities, i was born with spina bifida, cant walk and i'm basically an animal whisperer lol, i could be in a room full of people and if say a cat or dog comes in im always the first one they will come to, same if i go past a field with some animal or other in it they have to come over and have a look.

At first when I discovered this couple, I admit that my mind was more blown than it should have been. After watching some of their content and thinking a bit, this really isn't a big deal. I don't think the accusations of codependency I have seen against Hannah are reasonable. Early in our marriage my wife developed serious postpartum psychological issues. She was previously totally healthy. We lived without family or friends in a new city with a newborn. She got so sick she was afraid of the sun, couldn't drive anymore, would panic from waking up to going to sleep. Panic about breathing. You name it, every second was almost insane. And on top of it there was a newborn. I know people who have seen some shit but few have put forth the kind of sacrifice I know was required to get my family through those ~3 years. I will say I had to put up with some ignorant doctors and therapists on the path to her recovery, but what I DIDN'T have to deal with was everyone under the sun thinking I was insane for being with someone who was in such a poor state. Shane and Hannah unquestionably have physical chores they deal with involving their relationship, but really these things aren't remotely as bad as someone losing their mind. Or someone coming back from war with horrible PTSD. So why does everyone react like they are freaks when their stuff is not even that bad in the grand scheme of things? All the people who think relationships are only valid if everyone is equitably healthy are gonna have a serious wake up call in 20 years once someone starts chemo, or ends up on dialysis, or the guy needs his prostate removed and no longer has libido, there's an endless list of stuff that happens commonly and has major impacts. What I see here is a very bright and funny man focusing his efforts into a positive product for the world, and I'm not that surprised a similarly well intentioned gorgeous girl would see that outweighing physical challenges he lives with. People make these kinds of commitments quite often they just don't 'look' the same, and they happen later in life generally. But if these two are wise enough to be ready for it at their age, then everyone who doesn't understand love can pretty much just fk off back to the club and let these two sweethearts show everyone how it is done.

I’m SO GLAD you said something! When I hear all the criticism I think to myself: 🤔 “Wait a minute!?! My husband isn’t even disabled but I trim HIS nails/toenails, I cook and serve him ALL of his meals, do his laundry, groom his eyebrows, shave his head, rub his back... If/when he’s ever been injured I handle all ice packs, heating pads, bandages and wraps, I put ointment any bug bites, wounds or rashes, any ingrown hairs or zits.... and if my hubby had a hemorrhoid or weird “bump“ on something I would obviously be the first person to volunteer to inspect it! When my hubby was hospitalized for 3 weeks and very ill, I got naked in the hospital bathroom and bathed him myself! (among other things) I did for my man in there.😉 THAT is what REAL INTIMACY IS!!! 🥰 I also suffered from postpartum depression and later needed my husband’s unconditional understanding and support when my own surgery resulted in substance use disorder. I understand Hannah does more for her man than most women - but we ALL do for those we love! These judgments people make really surprise me!

Meg Torrie Meg , beautifully spoken. Today , many have no idea what ,”in sickness and in health “really means. Giving of yourself is a selfless gift. Loving unconditionally is sometimes a daily commitment. Ups and downs are inevitable, true love gets us through tough times. For some, that includes having a spiritual relationship with God. He can give strength, peace, courage and direction. 🕊

Saaame. Except these days I get roasted by my own kids instead lol! All jokes aside, this will pass, I remember the feeling so much, I used to hide out in the bathroom cubicles at school break and lunch times. Those “cool” kids, they might be cool now, but as you all grow older, you will overtake them in life, that’s a guarantee, and you will be able to face them on the street because you will know your life is heading somewhere. Right now it probably feels hopeless, but take it one day at a time and I promise you, doors will open for you that will amaze you and those around you. When you get to my age, you’ll realise they weren’t cool. I’ve even gotten to the point of forgiving them for ruining my formative school years, because they must have had some real inner turmoil to make them bully me so hard, and to make them so conscious of looking cool to others. You’ve got this, hold on in there, your entire life is waiting for you just around the corner, in whatever form that is meaningful to you.

I'm 21 and I'd rather not drive because I'm afraid I could always cause an accident. But my mom has osteoarthritis on the hip so she can't really drive anymore. My uncle does but he has his own car to tend to. I might have to start driving because what the heck others can so can I.

Fascinating couple to watch. They seem to be on a mission to prove that it can work which is admirable in a way and this can be a powerful motivator if it feels like the world is against you. Presumably the Eros raw attraction love has been overtaken/ignored by caring love which is interesting but that is one hell of a sacrifice for the carer to make.

My mom is in a wheelchair full-time and I’ve noticed with my dog who’s not a big liquor that they insist on licking her. I’ve always kind of just thought that they figure it’s a way they can help her out. Like they since there’s things that she can’t do so they think they need to do that for her to help her. One of my dogs, she’s passed away now, was obsessed with trying to lick my mom’s nose. I honestly think she figured she was cleaning her nose for her, LOL. Mom of course didn’t love it but it was just my dogs obsession. I’ve had a few different dogs do it to my mom so I really do think it’s just how they think they’re helping or taking care of the person with a disability whom they love

Would stretching help you any Shane? I'm not super familiar with your disability, so I'm curious if a daily session of like leg stretches, arms, turning your head side to side, wrist braces etc. Would that kind of stuff help any?

Hannah I double dog dare you to just start randomly walking up to Shane now, with a tissue & saying okay bud time for your lips🤣...especially if he's grumpy, or having a man mood moment.🤣
