I agree that what she is saying sounds a bit like on y va as well as en avant. She doesn't have a French accent so I didn't realise she was speaking French at first, I'm assuming she is French Canadian or something?

Yeah I think it was just a mistake while talking in the moment. "Gee" means "go right" and "haw" means "go left" in dog sledding (and probably lots of other domesticated animal things) and I know it's used in lots of other dog training, so I'm guessing that's the command she's using.

How do you know where the camera is
@AmeliaBressler
Жыл бұрын
She still has some light and dark perception, so if there is a light on the camera, she can look toward that. If not, whoever is filming obviously talks to her to set up the shot, so she can look in that direction at about their face height, and sometimes I've seen her check with whoever is filming if she should look higher, lower, left, right. She had much more vision when she was younger, so the social importance (for sighted people) of focusing her eyes toward a person she is speaking with or the camera is not foreign to her. Also, she's been doing TV, stage events, recorded interviews, and then social media since she was a kid, so none of this is new to her.
