One of the things she says is the key...she had her husband there supporting her the entire time. Same for me. I don't know why he has stayed but he's part of the reason I'm still here.

Depression has been in my family for at least three generations that can be documented. It is devastating.

Depression is very debilitating. If you have been depressed for more than 2 weeks -- low energy, negative, irritable, not sleeping well, changes in appetite, suicidal thoughts -- see your doctor NOW. Treatment works if you give it a chance.

Love her SO! Just curious as to the "HOPE" those of us that do not have the resources to get all of the help that we need....where do we turn. For me personally, medication is NOT an option. I just can't take it. I've been down that road before and to be honest if it were not for Jesus and the will to make it another day, I probably would not be typing this. Vodka was my vice until Jan 7th of 2018 and I have found it WAY more debilitating to "cope" since I quit drinking. It has been 8 years since I tried meds of any kind. I despise them, have lost loved ones and friends to them. I see children addicted to them at an early age. Again, for ME, meds just aren't an option! 😞 What do ya do when you are in bed for MONTHS at a time?

Not a decease. It is the result of your thought life. When you get helpless and hopeless you develop depression. Been there and done that!
