This is one of the most common questions I've been asked in recent weeks. I don't know if it's the effect of a global pandemic awakening people's interest in healthcare as a career, or if lockdown has inspired people to think more about their lives but a lot of you seem to want to explore medicine as a career.
Sure, chances are you'll have more obligations and responsibility to think of, the older you are. However, I firmly believe that if you've done a few years elsewhere, you'll really know what you want to do, or perhaps, don't want to do anymore! We grow a lot between the years where we finish school and when we hit 25, 30, 35, so it totally makes sense to be reassessing your career at various intervals.
You need to know your own motivations though. No matter what age you are, it's a long road to embark upon if you don't know why you're doing it.
