No youre not! Try it and its done! I learnt 3by3 just by watching one video and 4by4 was tough at first but done! Ive bought now 2,3,4,5,6,7 and can solve all ,, it doesnt matter how fast! Im not going for WORLD COMPETITION 😌.. even 100by 100 can be solved once you learn 4,4😂 its just that its big and impossible to move

The Yau method, I started learning it yesterday after I first tried to solve the 4x4 layer by layer. Ik the beginner method. I even got to the third layer. But in the edge pairing method, I realized I was actually doing the Yau method, so I looked up a tutorial on how to do the thing and turns out I was doing the entire thing correctly without even knowing was doing it

I’ve solved one for the first time in October this year after solving a 3 x 3 for a while. There are so many different algorithms and ways to solve it towards the end of the cube because of how many scenarios you can be in. This was pretty cool to watch!

@@amymanley3405 not really. the only time you can ever use the "my cube isnt good" is if your cube is so bad that it actually hinders your performance by getting stuck etc

@@blobstudio magnets main purpose on big cubes is to keep the inner layers from moving while you're doing outer turns and that's why it's better to have magnets for 5x5 and up however I agree with you that skill is MUCH more important that the cube unless it's like a cube from the 80s or something so i agree with you mostly but for like a 7x7 it needs to be good.

Pretty close, though not exactly. most of the time they make and attach the 4th cross edge to a center bar before they make the middle 4 centers and then attach it to the cross after the centers are complete. great video though! (also, they never get parity because they know how many slice moves where done in the scramble because they figure out if there is parity or not and make it so that there is never parity)
