I love the roux method because there are so little algorithms to memorise. Most of it can be done intuitively. I started with CFOP, then took about a month break from it. When I came back I had to relearn all the algorithms I had forgotten. Super frustrating. Meanwhile with the Roux method, I didn't cube for over 3 months and it took me just a few hours to learn the important algorithms again

CFOP Steps: Cross F2L OLL PLL Roux Steps: Block 1 Block 2 CMLL LSE They are divided into the same number of steps - And the first two are essentially the same as the first 2 with CFOP, Blocks 1 and 2 are just a more efficient version of Cross+F2L Also, CFOP can be rotation-less. Even if you needed to see the back F2L slots due to lack of lookahead, you can use d2 to see the back and avoid regripping.
