Self-Awareness is the building block that we use to create the life we want.
Unfortunately, most peoples lives are created by their surroundings and the peers they associate with.
I was a smoker for more than 25 years, and whilst I new it was toxic, and I new it was bad for me; nothing changed until the day I DECIDED that I was no longer going to be a smoker and no longer saw myself as a smoker.
I needed to disassociate myself from the habit by raising my AWARENESS, and replacing a bad habit for a good one.
I also needed to replace the group of friends that I was associating myself with. This was extremely hard to do; but a very necessary part of the process.
Raising our awareness, requires us to look at every part of our life.
Our speech (The language we use with others, as well as our internal dialogue)
Our thoughts (Are we self critical, are we thinking negative thoughts, are we out to harm ourselves, or others)
Our environment (Are we hanging around with deadbeat morons who only want to drag us down? Are we getting out into sunlight regularly? Are we engaging in grounding techniques to rid ourselves of negative ions? Are we engaging with positive conversations or negative beliefs and principles? Are we engaging with helpful content that will assist us to grow physically, mentally and spiritually? Are we building GRATITUDE techniques? Etc Etc.
Our community (Where are we hanging out and who are we engaging with on a regular basis? Is this in alignment with our end goal?
The list is almost exhaustive.
