This monstrous, murder-hard-hearted hypocritical prejudice, practiced by the 'approved' brand of monosexuality, is fast-headed toward the longing mouth of the wood-chipper of history! Our younger ones are well-onto the rotten con of it, and are having impressively little of it, knowing now the 'standard plan' taught from the first slice of the "unkindest cut," to be the insanity that this mystically-derived heterocentric REPRO-CULT truly is. The never ending heterocentric 50/50 WARRING, waged against Mother Nature within -- this carried-out in the name of supposedly "complying" with Her (as is favoritely-cited by living, arrogant mostly male steroided stinking hypocrisy), is a thing TRULY perverse, speaking of it. As given such damage as done, it really should be no wonder that most of human males have in some form or other, been driven to barely-disguised madness by it! Within or without, Mother Nature assesses Her penalties for countering or ignoring, what she emplaces for rational use within us. It is ONLY a matter of how soon or later, that they are to be EXACTED on deniers! (And, most having no idea as to what it is truly, that so-eats them alive through life!) Actor Burr, by some luck of happenstance, had a mind enabling him to counter all of the mad, cracked-pot Heterocentric hell in which he was 24/7/365, and worked-out this "opposites only please" immersion, to good and profitable end-effect. Most do not, and are teased-out and destroyed by the rotten old CULT in any way it can. Liked or no, the history of it's denying horror campaign, is coming to it's vicious, malcreant career end! Now "truth seeker." YOU might benefit by just a HINT's-worth, as to why YOU "never would have dreamed" of it!

@@lauranardoni5626 A lot of actors and actresses in Hollywood were either gay, or bi, and most knew someone who was. It's not really Hollywood per se , but rather the type of press that would capitalize on that information. Perry Mason was a well liked and respected, main stream, middle America, favorite character. There were actual PSA's warning young boys about "The Homosexual", showing men prowling around in their cars trying to "pick up" young boys, for a ride in their car. The Military actively court martialed and imprisoned any homosexuals found in the Services. So, it wasn't something that he wanted to get out to main stream middle America.

I agree, especially the practice of ‘outing’ someone. Think about it, if how one expresses one’s sexuality is protected by privacy laws, as in, “what they do in their private life is no one’s business but their own” sentiment; why, on earth, would you make it everyone’s business by outing them? I like to keep my life (mostly) private, I have had experiences that are difficult for others to comprehend, they have no frame of reference. Although they have shaped me, I don’t like talking about them. There is great emphasis on ‘transparency’ these days, but it seem to me the subject should decide what to share and what to hide: to tell their own story, as it were.

I once worked in a government office where all the men were Perry Mason clones, they look like Hugh Beaumont - straight serious looking guys in high positions, yet I found out that they were all closet queens....blew me away- this was in the early 80's. I grew up in the Gay community ( I am not gay myself) so I was use to the flamboyant gay men, but was totally shocked when I ran into closet queens who lived dual lifestyle...some were even married with families. Of course this was in San Francisco....

One who serves God doesn't hide, it's always the sinner who fears being found out. Most people measure one another with what's on the outside of a human being instead of being concerned about a man's soul. He lived a life that was forbidden by God, who said that liars, thieves, fornicators, adulterers, homosexuals were an abomination to Him because they were not OF him but were OF Satan, threfore none of them would be allowed to dwell with God in eternity. Money, fame, forturne, titles, accolades, kindness, charity work, won't mean a thing in the Day of Judgment. All of us will only have accumulated data of serving God in this lifetime or serving Satan.

@@beantrader4723 The scripture also says judge not lest you be judged. As a Christian we are not supposed to judge other human beings. I recall Jesus saying to the ones who wanted to stone someone, ye without sin cast the first stone. So until we are sinless, which will never happen on this earth, I think we should worry about our own selves and leave others to God.

@@beantrader4723 Amen! We christians are to judge righteously. Once we remove the beam from our own eyes, we are free to do just that....Warning others of the consequences of their sins. So many take Bible words out of context and fail to understand the meaning. We, by choice, stop sinning as we are told in scripture. "Sin no more." Be ye holy as I am holy." Grace is given us to empower us to do just that. It doesn't matter that Burr was full of good works and a wonderful actor. If he didn't live according to the Word of God, he is not "resting in peace" as so many people are commenting. No homosexual goes to Heaven, according to the Word of God.

I've loved Raymond Burr since the 70's as a child. What an incredible talent he was. The very moment I laid eyes on Actor Robert Downy Jr all those years ago; I knew he should play Raymond Burr in a movie about Burr's life and career. Seriously...just look at Robert Downey Jr's eyes and how powerful his presence is on-screen. Raymond Burr is a legend. I'll love him forever!!

I was born in the mid 70's and used to watch the Perry Mason reruns in the 80's as a kid with my dad, he instantly became a favorite. In the 80's I lived in the Sonoma wine country town of Windsor, only a few miles from his and Robert Benevides' ranch in Healdsburg, of course, I didn't know this at the time or I would have spilled my milk. Found out he was gay in the late 90's and I was very surprised but my opinion of him did not change, he was a brilliant actor and seemed like a very good man. I was in high school when he passed away, I wish I could have met him, he has become one of my all time favorites.

He was also working during the McCarthy era, in the early 50s. Having to deal with Commie hunters was another thing that gay stars had to deal with. Government snooping intrusions were common in those days. He was luckier than many that J Edgar Hoover gave him a pass.

Like Humphrey Bogart said, “The only thing an Actor owes to his fans is a good performance”. Raymond Burr gave “great performances”. However, the best Perry Mason performances was the ones done by Warren William in his Movies in the 1930s. In those performances, he was a really intelligent Cad. Interesting that the best American actors were born in Canada. Man, he knew how to stare those eyes into the camera.

I grew up watching Perry Mason. It was a kind of show that brought the whole family together to enjoy the phenomenon of TV. I would hate to think we would have been cheated out of his performance because of his personal life. The show's theme song is likely embedded permanently in the brains of everyone of that era. Thank you Raymond for working so hard there will never be another one like you and I'm honored to have experienced your work.
