@@lausodresapo1336I don’t ever recall in any of Roger’s videos where he says it’s ok to let your opponent get a deep collar grip. That’s like giving someone a 50 yard head start in a 100 yard race. Get the second grip (because you just gave up the first one) and you are tapping my friend. I understand Jiu Jitsu extremely well. So if you have a question let me know.

@dannyinformal

Renzo gave Danaher his black belt, he definitely did not create him which is evident considering his knee shield attack completely exposes his legs. This is in line with most 'old school' Brazilian black belts, who've made a science out of ignoring 50% of the body.

All fine and good but number one rule in Jiu Jitsu is to protect your neck. So the guy on bottom, the black belt will just let Renzo get a deep collar grip. Watch any high level match...BJJ , wrestling, grappling whatever and the vast majority of time is spent grip fighting.
@ronmoore7656
3 жыл бұрын
Incorrect positioning with the knee shield...the knee should be pointing up that takes away the foot locks. Also why doesn’t Renzo tell his class to grip fight and protect their necks.

@2:32 when he steps through like that I just grab that leg pushed back and he is on his butt you guys need to watch that stuff The thing is I mean if you’re grabbing a hold of the arms and you have control that it’s about taking out posts. I think he’s totally right because a lot of times when they do that sweep I’ve always grab that but They have always taught that sizer sweep The point is there’s many things that you should and shouldn’t do it just depends what you train and how you do it. I think Renzo need to talk to the Gracie killer and see why he got put in some stuff What I’m saying those before you actually grabbed your neck because if you shrimp out and push with her leg you’re on a different angle

@Babjengi

Think of it as like a no arm brabo choke maybe? You use your weight on your ribs to force his neck deeper into the choke. You don't have his shoulder to close the carotid on the other side, but if you have one side tight enough, it doesn't matter
