Praying for you, Jackie! The world so desperately needs women, black women, former members of the 1gbt+ community in ministry, but that definitely opens you up to so many more attacks. May God shield you from those arrows.

Powerful talk. Marriage is undoubtedly the hardest job I have been given in this life, however thru its sufferings has brought me and my husband closest to the Lord. Prayer and seeking God daily is a must for survival. We will celebrate 25 years soon and no way would have made it without Him. All glory to God 🙌

I loved hearing about the need for discipleship and being open to the unconventional ways that God will bring that about. I really loved the idea that having a partner that challenges your faith (in a good way) can and should continuously keep you on your face before the Lord. Great conversation

It's encouraging to see couples like these who are examples of what marriage should be like. I admire the Perry's and I am praying that I would be able to have relationship like this with my future husband.

This was a fantastic podcast and so on time because God is calling the father of my daughter and I to get married and I was just saying to myself this morning that I was going to depend upon Jesus entirely for this relationship. My yes to this marriage is a complete reflection of my faith in God because I know I can’t do it and wouldn’t have done it had He not said to do it and with the knowledge that He is faithful and will always be there for us. This podcast encouraged me to keep moving forward and have hope in the goodness, power, and faithfulness of God!!

You have no idea how graceful I am to hear the very thoughts that are in my head concerning my own marriage of 50 years. I have subscribed and I will follow as we have no one to disciple us.

Oh, this refreshed and blessed me. I love you all. I love the air of mutual, unforced respect. It's truly a beautiful thing for brethren to dwell together in unity. See how Christ unites. Look at his uniting power! People across generational gaps, people from different cultural backgrounds wholistically united under the banner of our Savior's love. Heaven will be beautiful.

@NubianPrincess3000, maybe the article here could help: www.familylife.com/articles/topics/marriage/staying-married/communication/emotional-intimacy-grasping-the-full-spectrum-of-feeling/ Or you might even like the his-and-hers 30 day plans here. www.familylife.com/content_offer/love-you-better/ But we'd love to open up the floor for thoughts from other viewers. Ideas on how to lean in, anyone?

I'm grateful for this conversation. Thank you Lord. What stood out was the faithfulness of God and of both these couples... and that part of God being our refuge when we're looking for safety... to God be the glory. God please protect and heal us in this time!!! In Jesus mighty name ÷
