The California Endowment, along with partner organizations, hosted a screening of the documentary Paper Tigers, followed by a panel discussion around San Diego's efforts in making it a trauma-informed city.
The evening started with a brief introduction by Council President Pro Tem Marti Emerald of the San Diego City Council. Megan Burks, a reporter for KPBS, moderated the panel that included Superintendent Cindy Marten, San Diego Unified School District, Mack Jenkins, Chief Probation Officer for San Diego County, Jose Granados, a parent of Cherokee Point Elementary Students, Mey-Ling Lazo, Larissa Galeana, and Edith Okello, students at Crawford High School Academy of Law.
