Thanks Jake , I'm in my sixties so age appropriate hairstyles are important and I'm constantly reviewing the length of my system and bio hair, so this was great content for me, would love to see more. Thanks again - Karl.

Wow. Minute 7:24 is very short! Didn't think that could be done. Thanks again for the shout out Jake. I have yet to use a liquid bond actually, been doing tape! Almost went with a liquid bond until I watched your gym videos and you said how great tape was. So thankfully, no wrinkles in the system so far! I look forward to doing that interview/jam session with you. Soon man! Hope you had a great holiday season with the family and have a great New Years coming up :) Cheers from Canada!

An important part in short hair styles is the base you use. Lace systems tend to stand straight up when hair is short, a poly base is better for short hair styles. Not every base can be cut short to good effect.

Jake, great video brother. I asked this same question on a forum not even a week ago. Keep up the good work!

Great content as always buddy. I could never have it as short as Daves hair system forward though, just couldn’t do it. Don’t think it would last that long

Are there online forums dedicated to general talk on hair systems, reviews and such?

It is just my opinion...but the less density, the better! I don't care how old or young you are most of the time, not always, but more often than not, too much hair simple looks ridiculous and honestly fake. Less hair and less density will do wonders for a much more natural look. Thanks Jake.

Jake - today's look (on you!) is spot on!! The longer sides and a 'modest unit' make it look undetectable!

How long can you go with a hair system? Is it easy to manage a hair system 2cm longer than yours in the video?

Mines shorter than Daves 🙏 Tried a skin head the once and had to throw it 😂

Jake different companies have different densities percentages. For example Top lace medium density is 60-65%. There is no industry standard for density.

Absolutely true....goes for color too!

It's a shame there's no industry standard percentage for density. At least there's an industry standard for "fake looking" 😂

@@Sam-t7b4w unfortunately a lot of people want to have too much density, or too much of a straight bad exposed hairline. I am about to get a hair system too but it’s a gamble, how do I know I will be one of the natural looking ones and not the fake ones

Once you get a system, you’ll realize that you were hyper critical, and that people don’t actually notice - at that point, you’ll wear what you want, and perfect it for your style and your life. :)

7:45 what exactly are "flat knots" ?

I think 100% density or above should just be banned worldwide 😂 They're giving the game away too easily

Agreed. And the front of poly hairlines on darker units should all be bleached with peroxide very lightly in order to give a lighter appearance instead of that brutal wall of v-looped hair.

The most realistic looks are accomplished with very low densities (60% for me). Anyone new to this just remember, you lost your bio hair in a slow thinning process. The most believable density and restoration is not the density you had at 16. Less is more

@@tonytiger3871 I could not agree more! Guys should start on 60% then work density up to 80-90% over 18 months perhaps. That would be a realistic transition and could even cover up saying it's a transplant or a new shampoo etc
