Mitch played college football briefly and then branched into marathon running and bodybuilding before powerlifting and strongman

Mitchell Hooper grew up running across frozen lakes, kicking bears in the face, growing 50lbs antlers, eating 100's of acres of vegetation each week, climbing every mountian, and chopping down trees in fannel moose shaped onesies with nothing but a sharp rock tied to a stick. Durring puberty he was famous swimming up waterfalls and jumping over canyons. And now the mythical moose is likely best know for moving heavy circles.

I love how he's doing full squat cleans & jerks.. while Zack is high hang power cleaning. I'm all in on Crossfit's "GPP" with full range of motion & strength.. Over stiff and narrowly strong. imho. At the end of the day, it's about fighting entropy.. Maintaining strength, mass & mobility as we walk into old age.

6:30 same philosophy I keep trying to explain ... if your mobility is good and awareness of mass is good and core is engaged then you will automatically go up and down with the bar right. If those things are out of whack then repeating the movement is just going to drill in bad movement patterns and not help you secure a medal. I find there is usually not just a genetics gap in performance but a knowledge gap. The reason guys like Brian Shaw can lift more than other guys his size is because he approaches it like a really good systems engineer. The guys in third place usually just has a better strategy than the guy in 15th while the guy in first is a genetic anomaly
