After the Second World War, the aircraft manufacturer Saab, which wanted to move Sweden forward, enters the automobile industry. Saab's first car becomes the Saab 92. Later produced Saab 96, Saab 99 are loved by the Swedish people.

When Saab fell into financial crisis in the mid-1980s, General Motors bought 50% of the company. In 1994, the new generation Saab 900 is produced. GM buys all of Saab in 2000. The later produced Saab 9-3 fails the Saab 9-5.
GM sells Saab to Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker. It is later sold to Saab Nevs. The plan would be to produce the electric Saab 9-3x.
