“I wanted know more”. The above line from the interview is so crucial. I am currently writing a crime thriller & I needed to hear this because there are these characters in my mind & they have obviously come from a place within & I want to know more about these guys.

@@gterrymedI feel a pulsating energy when I think about these guys. It’s at an absolutely initial stage. The process has all the classic steps. A germ of an idea a seed that sits in your mind for years & then it starts to come out on paper.

@NoName-jq7tj I used to see movies when I was writing; too many rejections usually with writing, there's a glimmer of encouragement.

@@gterrymed I think have to keep going. Have many ideas & projects in the go. I think rejections are multifaceted. Writing can be rejected simple because it’s not good enough or there is too many similar types of narratives in the market place .The marketing aspect is crucial.

@NoName-jq7tj "your story didn't quite win me over." "Your story didn't come alive for me" Gordon Van Gelder, editor of F&SF. Gelder means to emasculate horses. Lol. I let him discourage me in 1997. Then my agent Mary Kay was arrested for mail fraud. Ugh.

"State your business or prepared to get winged." ❤ Tarantino has SUPERNATURAL energy! But look at his mom though; his mom, Connie Zastoupil, went from being a nurse to being Vice President of the entire company!!! Interview his mom on work ethic.

Major influence. I’m currently reading “Cinema Speculation” his mother taking him to the cinema influences him. Her views on violence were interesting. The chapter dedicated to the film Taxi Driver if directed by Brain De Palma rather than Scorsese I can’t wait to read.
