In '16 the break the nba regular season record and go all the to a game 7 with the same team and unfortunately loose to lebron. I guess they became a super team adding kd but after he left they added Wiggs who many considered a bust and now they win ring #4. Other team like the nets or lakers actually go out and recruit multiple superstars to create a super team and fall flat on their faces. The only thing that will stop the Warriors is the luxury tax. They're at risk of losing Draymond, Wiggins, and Poole next year. Its a shame a team that drafted most of their stars has to deal with contract issues like this
@Omakhara

Yh imo, if a team drafts a player, the amount of their salary that goes to the total payroll which dictates lux tax, should be the max the player could get elsewhere. That would incentives loyalty from both parties without inhibiting competitiveness.

@@zachcoggins9018 The owners definitely care about the luxury tax. If they didn't, they would have given whatever Porter and GP2 wanted and resigned them. There is a limit to what can spend. Right now extending Wiggins and Poole would take it pretty close to that limit. If they add Klay and Green extensions, then they would be paying more than 500 million in salaries and tax.
@greyklopstock7155
2 жыл бұрын
@@maplenerd22 also, I would add, it's not as much Lacob and the crew themselves who care about the luxury tax, it's the other teams. The other teams have been apparently getting perturbed at Lacob's willingness to spend the extra cheddar to keep the warriors in contention. So while Lacob himself might not care as much, he doesn't want to attract the ire of the other owners and the league as a whole. He's even said as much, which earned him a fine recently. Regardless, as a warriors fan, I absolutely adore our ownership group and front office. It's so nice knowing that your team isn't afraid to do what it takes to put together and keep together a championship team. Like, even with Draymond asking for a max, I'm confident he ain't going anywhere. We'll give him the money, just like we're gonna give Wiggins and Poole the money too. And who knows, something within these upcoming collective bargaining agreements might break our way, cause I'm sure other teams are also worried about losing their homegrown stars because they drafted and developed too well

The luxury tax is insane. It gets really big really quick. If you are 20 million over the cap every dollar spent is multipled by 4. So a 20 million player will cost 80 million. If I were the warriors I would drop Draymond after this year, if he wants his max contract. And Klay maybe next

These warriors videos will have you go down in histiry as the single greatest channel to have documented their championship run and the feelings and emotions that came with it, you captured how tha nba world and fans as a whole felt during this run, perhaps the most popular the nba has been since heat lebron era and before them the lakers celtics rivalry and before them the shaq and kobe era and before them the Michael jordan bulls era, the era we are in right now is the era of *anticipation* , anticipation of lebron possibly never grtting to the finals again, and retiring as is, capping it all off with perhaps a season with his son; which wont be that great per say, unless he wins his last championship with his son, that makes him the undeniable goat, regardless of anything else, and we all know this to be true, on the other hand not winning another chip and not having enough left in the tank to get it done seems to be where were headed so the former would be that much greater and that would be why hed be the goat, they are so opposites right now, furthermore this is the era of how far the nba has fallen since the curry madness, which is suprisingly only one season ago😂 it all happens right in front of our eyes which is insane, on the bright side, this year seems like a passover kinda like the season miluakee won the championship so a team like the celtics or memphis or golden state will win this year, i hope golden state wins again thatd be amazing

I don’t quite agree with the characterization of “saving” their dynasty. They were already a dynasty, no one can take that from them, the dynasty continues…don’t need KD, probably don’t need Draymond, if Wiseman lives up to expectations, we good.

They got healthy....literally that is the biggest piece to why they won. They also added Wiggins and Poole to serve as a young supporting cast to carry them in the future when Curry, Thomson and Green get old. The Warriors if they stay healthy will be the number 1 or 2 team in the West for the next 5 seasons.

in the start of the season, everybody cast out GSW on the title, but as i saw GSW play theres no way there not contender and i believe. ngl, J.Poole was huge this season, and Klay comeback was a great way to add this burn. God damn, payton II was huge too. this was a team built to win not just to play.

Draymond is not the most confident, just the loudest; hes a bum that got lucky. that 15-50 season exposed him if that didnt, these finals did.

Excellent recap and commentary on the Jekyl and Hyde seasons of the Dubs. '22 may have been the best Championship ever with all the underdogs!! Thanks again #dylandoesbasketball

Green was right. They never needed KD. They won without him, they're winning without him. I knew he was right the moment KD came, and I felt really bad they're making them to be a superstar team when they'd already earned their badge without KD. The media was trying to make it all about him, when obviously that was not the case.

All this crap and Steph never ask for trade nor ask others to get traded. Just being patient and let front office do their work. He’s So so under rated.

Now another problem is looming... Draymond demands another max, Wiggins seems to not accept a paycut and Poole needs a raise (deservingly so)

Klay Thompson's is underrated. Warriors got lucky with all these bench guards talent. Wiseman number 1 pick coming back ☠️.OMG how much wigen improved . He became smarter and learned from the best off ball shooting. Not even injure could stop them this year.

What Jordan Poole has developed into now, is what Kelly Oubre Jr was supposed to become. In fact even better because he could defend and Warriors could've had a line-up w Curry, Klay, Oubre, Wiggins and Dray w GPII,Poole, JTA off the bench.
