It's not the amount of money you have that's unreported that will gets the IRS attention. It's when you try spending that wealth. Sure I could have 3 million dollars in unreported revenue in some offshore bank account easy. But when I go to buy a house with it not only will taxes be required on the house but the IRS is now asking "wait a minute, he bought a 3 million dollar house (in which he legally paid his taxes on) but where TF did he get the 3 million?) Loopholes can be tricky, but there are plenty of proven tax-advantaged structures. IRAs and employer-sponsored retirement accounts are great options. You can also explore tax-efficient investment vehicles like municipal bonds or index funds. These offer benefits like tax-deferred growth or tax-exempt interest. Talk to your financial planner about these options.

Yeah, planners could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Bonds are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and I return at least $30k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

So if you work a legit job. Your job is always going to report your earnings. Because it's taxable for them. But if you work under the table and have an account without your information on it (think prepaid debit cards). You could dodge it for a long time. Issue is that you need to be able to prove sources of income when you buy a house with a loan, same for cars. So unless you save up 100% cost upfront. You need a credit score and a bank account that shows reliable income.

The guy in the video is correct. The ONLY way the IRS knows how much money you make is if you tell on yourself by filing a 1040 tax return, or if you sign a W-4 or W-9 and the IRS receives W-2's or 1099's. There is NO LAW that requires Americans to sign W-4's or W-9's. There is no law requiring Americans to have or use a Social Security Number to earn a living. There is no law requiring Americans earning income within the 50 States to pay federal income taxes. The income tax is a hoax! So if you stop using your SSN to earn a living, you can live an income tax free life and the IRS will have no idea how much money you are making! And you would be following the tax laws! The IRS are the ones violating the Internal Revenue Code when they try to extort Americans for an income tax that we don't even know! American businesses need to wake up and learn the truth about Social Security Numbers and tax withholding!

The income tax is law. It’s found under section 1 of Title 26 of the US code.
@freenow77
Жыл бұрын
@@thegamsta7133 I agree that there is such thing as the "federal income tax." The question is who owes the tax? Who is the income tax imposed on? The income tax is indeed found in Subtitle A of the Internal Revenue Code. The federal income tax is a foreign tax. The federal income tax is imposed on the income of Non-Resident Aliens earning income within the United States per 26 USC 871(a) and US Citizens earning income outside the United States per 26 CFR 1.861-8 (f) which is titled "26 CFR § 1.861-8 - Computation of taxable income from sources within the United States and from other sources and activities." All of these sources are Foreign Sources. This is why the Federal Income tax is Constitutional. It is a tax on foreigners earning money within the United States, and Citizens earning money Outside the United States.
@thegamsta7133
Жыл бұрын
@@freenow77 The issue I have with this is the fact that section one states that “there is hereby imposed on the taxable income of,” and then goes on to list married individuals, unmarried individuals, heads of households, and surviving spouses. Every person in the United States falls under one of these categories. Yes, foreigners in the US have to pay income tax, and US citizens outside the US have to pay income tax, but that doesn’t mean that everyone else is exempt because of that. Those are merely two special circumstances that government expressly wanted to explain (so to speak).
@freenow77
Жыл бұрын
@@thegamsta7133that is not accurate. Every person in the United States does NOT fall under one of those categories. You assumed what 26 USC section 1 meant, without digging deeper. Section 1 imposes a tax SPECIFICALLY on "Taxable Income." What is "taxable income?" Well you have to know what "taxable income" is to determine if you have it. How do know if you have "taxable income?" Taxable income is defined in section 63 as "gross income minus the deductions allowed by this chapter." So in order to determine if you have Taxable Income, you have to have Gross Income. So what is Gross Income? Gross Income is defined in section 61. But section 61 only lists the ITEMS of Gross Income, not the sources. The sources of income are found in the regulations I posted in 26 CFR 1.861-8(f). In order to fully understand this issue, you must read Larken Rose's "Taxable Income" report which goes into greater detail. larkenrose.com/pdf/TaxableIncome2007.pdf
@thegamsta7133

@@freenow77 Unfortunately, I don’t have 63 pages worth of time to devote to understanding his particular scheme to avoid taxes. There is one thing that I found interesting, though. Section 2(3)(d) says that “In the case of a nonresident alien individual, the taxes imposed by sections 1 and 55 shall apply only as provided by section 871 or 877.” So, it is clear that nonresident aliens are an exception to the general rule, which is why the sections that you were citing exist. Also, I was wondering from earlier what made you want to discover the sources of income. I assumed that when it says “whatever sources derived,” that the sources don’t have much of an impact on taxation. If you earn W-2 wages from foreigners, you pay the same income tax as if you received those wages from domestic sources, so I can’t see why it’s very important, if that makes sense.

Tax avoidance is lawful, but evasion is illegal. If you file a 1040, you waive your right to remain silent. If you file it for the first time, it becomes mandatory until you revoke your election to pay federal taxes.

your bank account doesn't indicate your income. It's a income tax not a wealth tax. the IRS has no way of knowing where all your deposits came from. unless it's all direct deposited from your employer and you never withdrew anything. The IRS can only go back 3 years into your tax returns. but they do know your earning from a legal job and your interest and investment income.

But see, your bank accounts all have your social security number. And all those accounts all can be brought up in moments to analyze the deposits and expenditures. They paint a picture of how much money you have or make. If they add that activity up, and it doesn’t equal what you make well, guess what.

In that case, it’s not worth the risk. At some point, you’ll probably deposit 10k or more, which requires the bank to file a form and report it to make sure the money is from a legitimate source. This means that the IRS will know about your money and they will know if you don’t report it on your taxes.

@@smartcookie11 The bank does, but the IRS won’t know about it unless they do an audit, which is very rare. Even then, I had a friend who was randomly audited (she didn’t own a business), and they never asked her for her bank account records or anything. And yes, she has a side hustle for which she doesn’t report that income, and is still doing that to this day. The IRS is greedy. High taxes are the reason people feel the need to have a side hustle in the first place, yet, the IRS wants to tax that, too.
