I guess the Jets are going to potentially get their title back soon of being the least desirable city for attracting UFA's out of all 32 teams if Ottawa gets their new arena built downtown.

So, apparently, this man has deep pockets ! That's good for the Sens ! Never the less there IS a cap he needs to follow ! But if the Sens start winning again the cap won't be an issue ! GOOD LUCK to all involved in this venture. DML.

hahaha...exactly. Andlauer moving the Bulldogs to Brantford is NO COINCIDENCE. And they allow guys to own multiple teams in the NHL. This league is so corrupt it's become laughable at this point. They make bank off of gambling and people still think the games and the league are legit, hahahaha

@@DirtyMoneyHipHop Guess you're not up on the collective bargaining agreement or how the NHL works. The NHL, just like the NBA, MLB & NFL are profit sharing "sports entertainment" non-profit organizations. The legal license for the purpose of gambling and dispersing profits to the teams. All teams share in the profits from the league generated revenue. Hamilton is more than 50 kms away from Scotiabank Arena, allowing a team to operate in Hamilton with the NHL's approval.

No one. The new owner just sold his home in Toronto and is looking for houses in Ottawa. Also there is a clause the NHL has put in the contract that to anyone who owns this team next is keeping Sens in Ottawa. Plus there is a new arena deal all but finalized to build new arena in downtown Ottawa

@@yourhighness4-20 As someone who goes to the games, it looks like a 20-30 min drive from downtown on Google Maps when it is around 1 hr or sometimes even more because of traffic. A government-oriented city where most work a boring 9-5 job allows for people to barely get to the suburb to attend the 7pm games timely with all that traffic. Also the closest attraction to the CTC are car dealerships, and i doubt ppl are lining up to buy cars post game like they would at restaurants. It also doesn't help the many fans who want to eat out or hit the bar after the game have to drive out in that traffic. Location really matters on whether fans wanna go to games or not. I would also do the same if I was a habs fan, it's a lot cheaper to drive and get tickets here than get a ticket at bell centre, except i would do that for a team that wins lol
