Hey man Im 5’5 and I can tell you that I can play with people up to 6’1 easily. Im only saying this to motivate you, not as a brag. I mainly use my jumper and some floaters in my moves set but it works. I can even get to the rack and finish over 6’ tall people. Its all about confidence and knowing what you can and can’t do. Now playing against 6’8 D1 hoopers is another thing but if you put in the time then you can play with taller dudes no problem my man.
@mcmerry2846

@@ToneyDouglas23 yeah, you have to rely on your brain more than in your "size" to play basketball. As a short man, you can manipulate your bigger defenders by using your speed and low angle advantage, that opens the court for your teammates to score easy buckets or for you to get a clean path to get your floaters. Dribbling hard and using the free arm it's mandatory... don't be scared to play physical and showing no fear is also a must. Naturally you will average less rebounds and taller players would like to attack you just by how you looking as a dwarf playing ball, but you have to keep your ground and show them you are not a joke in defense.

one thing i've always thought about in basketball is how there is no provision for height. That guy whos like 5'7 at your local gym gets no handicap whatsoever. It seems to me that 5'10 to 6'0 is where height clusters, short hoopers probably self select out. The ones who stick around under 5'7 being like 4 inches shorter than almost everyone figured it out somehow. Besides maybe not full posting (and even then, people will post on smaller guys) theres no "gentlemans agreement" that spares these people. You either be better to compensate or you're a bad player, thats it. Its wild to see that taken all the way to the D1 level.
@lIlIlIlIlIIIlIllIIllIII

Players like Darnell expose the lack of understanding that most people have about the game of basketball. It makes no sense that a player more than a foot shorter than the rest is as successful as he is. There are many things about basketball that even “D1” players don’t know. You’re right, the game is selected for physicality and players like Darnell, Isaiah Thomas, Nate Robinson, etc. expose you to how the real game is actually played. This is why basketball isn’t seen as an intellectual game yet like Golf, Baseball, or even Football sometimes. The hoop doesn’t change heights according to whoever has possession of the ball. Why couldn’t the GOAT Michael Jordan make the high school varsity team at 5’8” and guys like Darnell are D1. Guys like Isaiah at 5’8” are starting and leading scorers in NBA conference finals. No one wants to examine this dimension of basketball. Exposed.

“He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. Why is he ever being allowed to play perimeter defense. Why isn’t he being posted every possession

How does no one just post him up and back him down? Mark Jackson and Andre Miller would've destroyed this guy. It's amazing to me how players today have zero clue on how to bully smaller players in the post smh

He’s a 5’2 guard bro why would he be anywhere near the post on defense

@@stevennguyen5316 Because if opposing point guards or shooting guards were smart, they would iso him and back him down. Look at old footage of Mark Jackson abusing point guards in the post, same for Andre Miller or even Chauncey Billups. Like I said modern players are dumb as fuck

Zone help D would prevent that, unless he gets caught on a switch
