@Rozlicious27
Жыл бұрын
Doesn’t need to be trauma but childhood experiences and life do influence your behaviors, so it makes sense. Obviously though texting too much implies clinginess and texting too little implies being distant. People who are clingy tend to actually have abandonment issues, which is why they seek your attention so much and people who are distant tend to have a wall up as a safety mechanism and like their space. That is why attachment styles exist. You see these in people from an anxious to avoidant to healthy/secure attachment style. Psychology is quite complex and interesting.

It doesn’t mean trauma if you do those things in texting only sometimes, but it will mean it if it’s your overall texting style - your norm. For example, I do ghost people sometimes but it doesn’t happen in most of the cases

@AB-vc7ox

Since few people want to talk on the phone these days, I reply fairly quickly when it's a conversation in progress, but not when it's just low priority chatter or FYI sort of stuff. Ghosting, well, what else can I do when I have otherwise made it clear that I am not interested in having that person in my life, whether a woman pursuing, or anyone that has proven themselves toxic, overly needy, etc. There's aways more than one reason that someone is the way they are, not everything is a direct result of some kind of unresolved emotional or psychological trauma.
@marianavarro4704

You couldn't stress this highly enough. I'm avoidant. I was abandoned over and over. I had multiple nannies growing up. I was left home while my other cousins were going shopping with my mom and my aunt. I couldn't talk to my parents about my personal issues other than school stuff. Whenever I open up, I was just shut down so she struggled now asking me about where I go, how much I earn, what my plans for the future are. She sees me as a failure and I continue to show her that. To my colleagues and close friends, I am an epitome of strength and bravery. Openness and vulnerability. I feel safe with them. As for my Dad, he's a good person but I need a deep listener not someone who says it's okay when it's clearly not. Men or other people cannot and should never blame me for always being there for them because I know how it feels to be abandoned and to rely on your own. I grew up too soon.
