It's my understanding that Arnold was benched. But he took the benching to heart, changed his attitude and focus, and became one of the best CBs in the draft over the last season and a half. Maybe I've been misled (I don't watch college ball), but the people I watch regularly seem to think Arnold is going to be pretty good. Both of them actually, but Rakestraw behind Arnold. The word is Rakeshaw dropped to 61 because of his 40 time, although it's being said he was still rehabbing an injury at the combine. Guess we'll see.

If it were me, which it aint, id play a lot of 3 safety looks with branch, iffy and kerby, as well as dime looks with branch and rakestraw/arnold/robertson in the slots. Id also look at playing iffy at olb sometimes too for a blitzing presence.

Nice assemblage of vids cuts & data blocks to illustrate your point. The 🦁s ability to completely remake our secondary is nothing short of phenomenal! When you consider our new floor, the potential ceiling is mind blowing!🤯 Our depth is now a strength, where previously its lack was a true sore spot for our Defense. An embarrassment of riches is such a nice problem to have! Good job AV!! 🎬🎙👍🏾❤👍🏾

I don't know where they will all play and don't care because options are a good thing to have. Depth is very important as we saw last year when we had almost no options because Will Harris, Jerry Jacobs and Tracy Walker were all bad! Then we replaced Harris and Jacobs with Vildor. (let me have the ball hit me in the helmet so I can help the 49ers). Then all year we had Cam (I'm gonna choke you ) Sutton. Who really did not help the Lions at all. Thank you for your stupidy!

Terrion Arnold vs Alabama I have him committing 2 penalties for 30 yards (1 on a reverse trick play) I have him missing 1 tackle that led to a 1st down although it wasn't his man to cover originally as Worthy came out of the backfield. Beyond that I dont have him giving up 1 completion, not 1. Maybe they sat him down for a few plays after the PI or the 1 missed tackle which is possible but it wasnt for long as he was out there at the end of the game. Kool-Aid got burnt and the Caleb Downs was atrocious along with Key. People remember your errors no doubt but they dont remember nothing which is what Texas got vs him through the air....they got 450 yards vs everyone else. Arnold was however beyond the 1 missed tackle, excellent at tackling the edge which is a consistent theme with his film. Vs LSU You're saying Alabama was hiding him from Nabors??? Arnold is lcb at almost all times, on a few high leverage scenarios (3rd downs) they did put him on Nabors but the other than that he was on the left side of the D. Not sure where you got hiding him vs Nabors from. 2022 vs Tennessee I know another poster said he got torched vs Tennessee last year and apparently Bama benched him for Ricks which was crazy. I charted 4 catches for 45 (not official) and once again was excellent at tackling the edges. Brian Branch got torched by Tennesse along with Bama's safeties. Alabama fans are unrealistic so anytime they lose they want blood so bench the new guy. They werent going to bench Kool-Aid as he played good vs Tennessee. It seemed to work for Terrion although he didnt play bad considering Tennessee had over 400 passing too. I'm pretty sure JJ got Arnold a few times in the Rose Bowl but Arnold also played sticky coverage too.

I fear youve dreadfully misread who wilk play and where. Lions love versatility above all. Sometimes they run 3 safeties and sometimes players get hurt. Branch is the 3rd safety by default. So in 3 safety looks, normal rotation or injury hell play safety. It took you until almost 9 mins to mention Amik Robertson. Hes the nickel/slot (if its not Branch). You dont spend a first round pick on a slot CB. Arnold may be capable of playing slot but hes 3rd on the depth chart at best. Rakestraw and Arnold have similar speex with Arnold being quicker. Rakestraw is grabby and has awfuk ball skills. He needs coaching but has good ability. Its Arnold, Robertson or Mosley opposite Davis and Branch or Robertson in the slot. Go Lions.

The boot on Branch’s foot is not the same boot you are thinking of. That is a stability brace boot which is a way better boot to have than the big cast boot they use when a bigger surgery is had. This is nothing to be concerned about especially since the way we even found out was through Arnold’s insta post. Branch will be ready for the season but I agree that we may see him take pre-season off.

@nikolaisuterovich
25 күн бұрын
@@spiritofdetroitpodcast It is nothing official but the judgement is based on the photos that are out there. The boot is open or has “holes” for the foot to breathe, it is much smaller in frame/ size and it has a smaller shoe-like sole. If you look up medical boots for even something as simple as a stress fracture or sprained ankle, you get giant full structure boots. On top of that, it was on his left foot and all his serious or even mild injuries were on his right ankle/foot. The “boot” he has is more of a shoe for support than anything.

I think it took under a minute to give this video a thumbs down. That could’ve been premature, but I hate the Aaron Glenn bashing. Was it Aaron Glenn’s fault that the Lions put up six points against Baltimore, 13 points against the Bears and I know it definitely wasn’t Aaron Glenn fault for losing to Dallas. JG and the offense sucked in all three of those games. I find it amusing, no one ever calls JG or Ben Johnson out for those losses.
