"...actually he means that , actually she means that..." I can relate to this sentiment of having parents from two different countries / worlds. You can become a translator of sorts when you have a "baked in" understanding of either side. Placed in the middle of two cultures. An ambassador for both. I am envious of those flat files , lol. I love watercolors for similar reasons and I am always attempting to introduce children around me to them or reintroduce adults who "hate" watercolors. I appreciate that you have to invest time in understanding the medium in order to better predict its behavior , but , I am one who cherishes experimentation. Ultimately it behaves however it wants. I find that freeing. Not having absolute control.
