Do you think that LLM hallucination problem has anything to do with the quality of training data gathered from the internet? I know LLMs hallucinate with good and bad training data, but I was thinking about how entire comment sections can be filled with comments arguing back and forth by people who only read headlines and basically hallucinate the contents of articles. I don't imagine they give a heavy weight to such data, but it just that occurred to me, how such habits and attitudes might bounce around inside a model somehow, adding some chaos.

This idea of yours will only work with consumer goods or with data that is publicly available in big markets. You are clearly living in a bubble if you think that this can apply to all relevant branches and businesses. Here are some exanples: b2b activities, smaller countries (non-english speaking), pharmaceutical industry (highly regulated, in most countries very restrictive policy when it comes to publishing information), defense industry...and other industries that are restricted when it comes tp public information. And this is also the biggest problems auf LLMs: They are mostly trained on public information. So every job in marketing in one of those niches is pretty safe for the forseeable future I would say.
