You two + Jettie are Living MY Dream!!! Maybe not a sailboat for me, but just a boat that I could live aboard and move up and down the Eastern Seabord even to the Bahamas... Living the Water, catching your own food, with "minimal" reliance on land... Yes you need certain groceries, etc... but you can partially live on the water... So LOVE this Channel!!! Be Safe You 2.5!!!!

One of my favorite episodes. You two seem the happiest I've seen you. Plus the great retrospective and segue into your next phase of life. You are and inspiration to many and the ripple effect of your lives will bless more than you can imagine. My son is a USMC veteran and he said this is one of the better foundations to support. He just got out on 2019. I subscribed to this channel when you first bought the Trawler and have followed you through every video. I find it amazing you got back the little boat that started it all. Congratulations 🎊🎉. I also read Larry and Lynn’s books back then. I bought a Allegra 24 and 2012. It’s a full keel, blue water trailer sailer. Some things happened in life and I had to sell her in 2019. She went back to Lake Erie. I lost the buyers contact, but I would buy her back in a heartbeat now. She is a amazing boat for coastal sailing and trips to the Bahamas. 🇺🇸

Well done guys, BZ! Anyone out there who does not know, Gary Sinise is Lootenant Dan from Forest Gump. He works tirelessly for veterans through his foundation and with the Lt Dan Band. If you look under Patriot in the dictionary, it says "see Gary Sinise"

Looking through the comments Bert I am surprised at the absence of a mention of his role as astronaut Ken Mattingly in the movie Apollo 13. Brilliant movie and Ken is certainly no lightweight as an actor. Looks like patriot is a much deserved claim to fame.

We just finished watching this video. My husband and I are in our late 70's and we always look forward to watching your videos. Not sure why but my guess is that we are inspired by your sense of adventure and just going for the gusto. We are so unlike that as security has always a prime issue for us and have lived our lives like that. We envy your courage. This was a fantastic video seeing how it all started and how you guys met. I had tears in my eyes when you were talking about veterans and the Gary Sinese Foundation, you have won my heart. This charity is the one of the Veteran organizations we contribute to and now we will make another contribution in your name. One last thing we are ex-long islanders, born and raised, having retired down to North Carolina. We love watching all the different boat people but now you are our favorite!

That's great! Fix her up, make her as 'user friendly' as possible and base her in Sierra's home town. You can bareboat charter her by the day or week, lend her out to trustworthy local sailors for community work (veterans or kids with special needs etc.) and any money left over after overheads can go to your favourite charity. The channel can promote her, and she can promote your channel, and when you guys fly in from your travels for holidays etc. youve got a boat to sail and a place to stay!

Thank you for highlighting a very worthy cause. As the mother of a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan, I can tell you that your friend is correct. The VA is a miserable excuse of a mess and constantly falls short of meeting the needs of ALL veterans.
