Just installed these today. They look great, work great, and seem to be the only flush mounts that offer a semblance of running lights, as the stock signals do. The halo comes close. A bit disappointed in the plasticy feel, and the single screw holding them in place seems cheap. I was expecting something more hefty like the 10mm nut that was on the stocks. Still a nice mod and I’m glad I went with TST.

A lot of engineering goes into the design of our parts and this one is no different. With the space limitations, and having to squeeze in so much tech inside the capsule of the lamps we had to come up with a mounting method that used not only a fastener to secure the lamps, but also use the entire well of the fairing to distribute stresses. You have the entire internal structure of the signal contacting bodywork and one small fastener securing the very lightweight lamp into it on an axis parallel to the ground. There is very little cycling stress on the screw connection as most of the stresses distribute on all the contact surfaces. If you manage to generate a 5+G bump in the direction perpendicular to the center plane of the bike, over and over again through many load/unload cycles, then you may have a problem with this connection becoming strained. The reality of that condition is that your tires will not remain in traction with this condition at lean so the point becomes moot and the condition is outside the parameters we design for.

I've often thought that the space behind the fairings where the signal lights plug in would make a great hidden storage compartment. All it needs is some kind of hinged door with maybe velcro tabs to keep it closed. It can probably hold at least a bottle of water, sunglasses case, etc. on each side. Just turn the forks to one side to open the door on the opposite side. Of course, if that door ever came open while riding it could interfere with steering to that side, so it would have to be foolproof.

+st8kout1 That sounds like a good idea if you are the type of person that needs to bring a lot of stuff with you on rides. I personally wouldn't put water in there because of exposure to heat. When you pull that bottle out it would be pretty warm.

I definitely can't verify the 650 but the one time I in Stelle these on the 500 I had to do some cutting on the fairings to make them fit. The fit on those bikes is not confirmed as plug and play / direct fit.

Good product. Will be great if package can be availible for overseas models too.
@TSTindustries

We can develop an overseas harness conversion but that would carry with it an extra cost. On overseas bikes the front signals have no running light so it is not possible to make an easy plug and play model. The signal would still plug into the OEM harness plug but the extra wire for the running light would have to be plugged into the headlight.

Nice video, about the glowing light around the signals, is it on all the time? what if i want just to have it like a signal light and now on all the time? thank you for answer
@TSTindustries
9 жыл бұрын
Mercedes Benz The glowing halo element turns off for signaling and stays on only for running light mode. If you want to disable the halo element you unplug the green wire from the plastic plug and insulate it. This way you will only have the signal light function.

TSTindustries so there doesnt need to be special wiring for them to act as a running light? the simple plug and play is all it needs to power not only the turn signal but also the running light correct?
@TSTindustries
9 жыл бұрын
NakedRider That is correct. It has a built in running light feature and its own wire and the signal function has its own wire. All on the same OEM plug.

I am struggling to get the right side wires out...what the hell can I do. I got frustrated and cut the damn signal off which I wish I didn't do, but it is too late. Was going to draw the wires up from the other side....I'm pulling and yanking and I can't get them to budge. Edit: I figured it out...omg it didn't want to budge. It is finally done and lookin' sweet...so easy to install...was a pain getting the right side out.

Good to hear you got it figured out. The best way to perform this installation is to remove the fairings but that requires a lot of operations in the sequence and has to be done with great precision to not break tabs. We decided that we would simplify this to a "snaking" method for you guys but I guess it is still can be challenging.

Why would you "push" in a screw fastener?? You WANT it to fall out?
@TSTindustries
2 жыл бұрын
it is a plastic fastener that expands when the screw stud is bottomed out. The simple way to set and lock it is to place the body all the way in the stack of panels that need to be fastened and then pressing in the screw stud. The screw head is only used for removal.

Where can I get that speed wrench you're using?
@TSTindustries
9 жыл бұрын
+Noah Lee There used to be a few companies that made that wrench under license from the company that held the intellectual property on it. Right now I can only find a Stanley Tooling version. You can do a Google search for Stanley Rotator and you will find the same tool.

I've purchased my Halo-1 Flush Mount Signals about 3 weeks ago but am currently over seas. However, my 2007 Honda CBR has flushmounts already installed that work properly so I assumed I didn't need the flasher relay since im not removing stock turn signals, is that a good assumption or should I purchase the flasher relay for $18?
@TSTindustries
9 жыл бұрын
If your current setup is already using LED signals and is flashing at the correct rate then our signals will flash at that same rate. Once you get back and go through the installation, and it turns out that you would in fact like to install one of our LED Flasher Relays we can get one to you fast. Our orders ship within one business day of being placed, with a cutoff time of 11 am EST for same day ship out.

I have a 2010 CBR600rr from the UK. I'm thinking of replacing my stock indicators for halo ones. is it simple plug and play or do i need anything else?
@TSTindustries
8 жыл бұрын
Do you have running lights in your stock front signals? If so the installation will be plug and play. If your front signals have only one circuit then it will not be a plug and play installation because in that case your bike uses a two conductor plug and does not have the extra lead for a running light.
@motorcycleMoff

+TSTindustries no I don't have a running light on the front indicators. does that mean I can't fit them?
@TSTindustries
8 жыл бұрын
+chris moffat you can still fit them but not in a plug and play fashion. You would need to do some wiring
@motorcycleMoff
8 жыл бұрын
+TSTindustries is there any preferred method to the wiring that would need to be done?
@TSTindustries
8 жыл бұрын
+chris moffat You would need to run the green wires from the halo-1 signals to your low beam headlight positive lead. You would also need to change out the main halo-1 plug to a two conductor plug, which we can supply.

will I need the 2 pin or 4 pin relay? for 07 CBR600rr USA thx
@TSTindustries
9 жыл бұрын
***** our 2-pin relay should work fine for you. All of the TST relays have 2 pins. Most North American bikes use a 2 pin relay. If your bike has hazard lights, you need a 4 pin relay. Many bikes over seas require a 4 pin relay. If you have a 3 pin relay, our relay should work for you. A three pin relay utilizes a ground that is redundant for the purpose of our electronic relays. Our circuits have a capacitor that charges on the first cycle after signaling is engaged, and that controls the timing logic. There is no separate ground needed so we exclude the third pin on the relay. This configuration will work for most two and three pin signaling systems.
