Good morning, and if no one else has said it - you are a great Dad, and he will remember this. Secondly, Tommy - hands down. Thirdly, I learned to use door screen and automotive grill as a visor, since it allows better air flow and breathing. I use glazing and spot putty in place of body filler with hardener - drying time is fast, and requires no additional hardener, just mix tube well before use - for filling, and there is a great guy on here that makes helmets as a side thing, he is called Stickasaurus on KZitem. He recently put out a video on how he sands and fills and is a great help. When I use supports of any kind, I usually have a top z distance of 0.22 in the slicer, it makes the supports much easier to remove, though it is good practice to be careful when removing supports from any space on the helmet to prevent damage. Keep on printing and have a great day!

I mostly make Star Wars helmets and my go to for visors is the hobart welding face shields. They're already tinted black so there's no need to apply any colored film. It's hard to see in from the outside but you can see really well out of them. They've been perfect for Mandalorian and biker scout helmets. Hope that helps!

The mmpr green ranger is my all time favorite! I met Jason David Frank at Planet Comic Con KC! He was all about the fans! I paid for him to sign my green ranger funko pop and I was tellin him about my kids so he gave me 3 more autographs. One extra for myself and one for each of my kids at the time. That helmet turned out awesome! I used that some filler on my Jay Garrick Flash helmet really like it.

I use Idye Poly Black to tint Clear PETG sheets for visors. But yeah, nice simple build.

Thanks for the info! I wonder how hard that would be to get stuck to the inside of the visor.

@FacilityD20 oh you don't, it's a dye. Get a cheap pot from a thrift store, boil some water, drop the packet of dye in, stir it up to disolve, then empty the color enhancer packet in, with a little dawn dish soap, stir it up and let the water cool to about 130° F, dip the visor in for about 10-20 min depending on how dark you want it. There's a couple vids on YT about it. But it HAS to be idye "POLY". The normal stuff won't work

@FacilityD20 I made Hunter Denos Pink and Red helmets. Currently working on Russel Curry's Zenith ranger helmet, then chance and Tessa for black and green so that they can have them at cons.

Great build! I'm pretty sure Canadian Tire sells rolls of clear vinyl for covering furniture that might work well for the visor. As far as tinting it, maybe a thin wash of nuln oil or similar?
