Loving these long demonstrations where he shows the entire process and explains each. Thank you so much.

This is the best Acid patch tutorial I have seen for Serum, and killer production advice to go a long with it. For anyone wanting to spend some money on a dedicated plugin for acid sounds, I can recommend Phoscyon 2, more. It's the best Acid synth out there. That being said, much of this thick ass tutorial applies to anytime you are writing acid synthesis.

Hi Zen World….thanks for the awesome tutorials. I’ve been coming along on my latest track, inspired by your tech house series. Quick question: I know you said sometimes you don’t worry about making a sub bass layer, but say I make a sub bass layer….should the amp envelope follow the modulation of the mid bass (I.e. copying the mid bass preset to another channel and turning it into a sine and putting it to mono) or do professional producers like yourself just make another sub preset that doesn’t have to relate to the mid bass preset? Should pitch bend be the same speed? Thanks for your help….also, some genres like dubstep have a completely separate sub from mid, including notes?

Could sustain it out more it just depends if you want the sub to have the shape of the mid bass and that's dependent on the song. I'd say just follow the decay but allow the sub to have a bit more.

Yeah, most people think a 303 is magic but it's a basic patch you can make on most synths. No need to drop 3k on a 90's Volca.

If it's all so obvious to you. Here's your task: You have 1 year to bring a 1 hit wonder song to the top of the charts. Should be easy, right? Yes, I know, it's a challenge. But since you're good, that shouldn't be a problem, right?

Wtf? That’s like asking an English professor at your uni to write a number one novel to prove their credentials.. clearly his goal is to teach, you don’t have to be number one to achieve that.

He’s a sound designer more than a producer, so this type of comments are really so bad to see. I don’t understand why you don’t just bring what he try to explain for FREE on KZitem and use that in your own project, without being this type of hater🙌🏻
