All right, now I'm doing this. Was looking for jackstand locations because Torsion Bar! Now I'm doing this -- or maybe lowering it. Both. Gotta replace a leafspring anyway.

@@D3RPZILLA $100 for my 2004 Ford explorer sport Trac. Load carrier shocks. Almost everyone gets 1 inch lift from the Monroe or the Gabriel. Usually dead on one inch.
@off-roadingexplained8417

@@D3RPZILLA I did the torch off road lift for the sport Trac. I used the one with the add a leaf in the rear and new torsion keys and shocks in the front. That was $200. I'm right at about 0.25 inches higher in the rear , dead level , slight rake... I'm going to add the Gabriel shocks and hopefully I'll be dead on 1 inch of rake or so. Factory rake was 1 to 1.5 inches. Won't hurt to have new rear shocks anyway. So the total kit will wind up being like $300. Not too bad. Should be a full 3 inch lift basically instead of 3 inch level lift when it's all said and done. I'm trying to get the rear spring rate (and really the wheel rate) closer to the front. I did some measurements just by adding weight , watching the drop and then computing the effective spring rate. After the lift , the front rate is way higher. So stiffening the rear will bring them closer. It rides fine , just has a slight lean in the back on turns... As it is right now , the grip is REALLY good. Neutral steer almost. I'm really surprised that I got a pickup truck to neutral steer in 2wd. I'm expecting slight oversteer after stiffening the rear.

Very nice! I have the same year as yours, 2000 Ford Explorer but with a 5 Speed Manual, 4.0 (OHV). Same colors as yours too. It’s hard to find anything on these explorers , your video was awesome and is something I’m looking to do! Thanks for the video man.
