Tons of thanks to you Sir. I never used the history brush tool previously !!!!! Not even shy to declare that had no idea about the same before watching this video, again thanks to you. Yes, I am using wacom tablet last couple of months. I managed to buy a small one as in my country this tablet is very much expensive due to some import frets applied on purchase. Using small wacom tablet is OK for entry level i think. As a matter of fact, some really helpful features are not available on this small one, what I saw in the wacom tablet tutorials.

I use a Wacom Intuos Photo Pen and Touch. I have used the history brush before but not for artistic effects. Thanks for the idea. Also I assume you could create multiple snapshots for different effects in different parts of the image.

Did'nt have any idea that history brush could be used that way. I have a Intous pen, but I use it in conjunction with the mouse, as I find it hard to use I.e. to adjust the brush size like with and rightclick. Liked the video by the way.

you can set up the touch strip to adjust the brush size on the tablet. Thanks

photoshopCAFE thank you. Yes, I know, I probably move the pen in a wrong way when I am trying to resize, just cant get the feel of it. I thought, maybe the Intous is just a cheap "wannabee" tablet compaired to the more advanced models?

Is that the one that used to be the Bamboo? Less than $100? It should still have really good pressure sensitivity. Ive always used the Intuos pro

photoshopCAFE Yes I believe it is. I was to fast to buy, should have put a little more research into getting one. Never the less, it works ok for brush strokes, course I don't have to click the mouse. But I will definitely get me a more professional one soon. Thanks anyway :-)

Hey Colin, great video (as always)! I do aerial photography on the east coast of the US. Summertime is haze time and I’m always fighting it. Could you do a video that is opposite of this one? How to use these techniques (and any others) to remove haze? Any help in that area would be greatly appreciated. TIA 😁

Why not duplicate the background layer and turn it off so you are working on a copy while still protecting the original? Other than that, this is a new trick for my bag. I have been using this approach for dodging and burning but now can use the history brush for other local adjustments. Thanks

I use the Intuos Pro small, which is plenty big enough for photo work. Even with the small tablet I find I only use 1/4 or so of the surface area. As for the history brush, I've heard of it but never used it. After seeing this I'm definitely going to add it to my tool kit.

Haven't used the history brush much, but I'll definitely be giving this a try! Another great tutorial! I have an Intuous 2 medium, and my 'big gun' is a Cintique 24 HD. I love 'em both. I could never go back to painting with a mouse.

This will sound a bit crazy but I have a Wacom Cintiq 12wx and an Intuos Pro but I was sent a Huion Inspiroy Q11K to review as a possible cheaper alternative for students and I loved it. It is now my go to tablet. I use the Cintiq every now and then and I've "loaned" the Intuos to the GF, but for most things I use the Huion because of the feel. It's really very good, and it's around $100 on Amazon now.
