Hi Gwyn! The website looks great! When you purchase Kadence Pro, you get a feature called elements. This feature will allow you to create sections or areas that you can hook conditionally at the top or your categories and practically anywhere you want in your Kadence based themes. You wont' need to use the old school categories section at all. You will have more flexibility using the Kadence elements pro feature. Let me know if you need help with it. You can email me at clifton@cliftonwp.com. 🙂

Excellent video. Many thanks. Since you did the video there has been some change in the Kadence Theme. There are now 4 element types, one of them being "templates". I cannot find any documentation about it. Do you have information eventually that you could share?

Hi Clifton. I love your content, you're a great teacher. Also I have a question, is it possible to add custom options with ACF on the Block options (sorry for the redundancy). For example, I add a custom SVG that goes behind a text, but I want to know if I can create a Radio Button on ACF that allows me to show or hide this SVG, and add this option as another option of the Advanced Image Block. Thanks a lot.

Greetings, thanks for sharing knowledge. One question: can I use it to create a different footer for posts and pages? Thank you
@CliftonWP
2 жыл бұрын
Greetings Carlos! Yes you can. You can create a custom footer using the Elements Feature in Kadence Pro. When creating an Element in Kadence, there is an option to "Replace the Footer" with that Element under the "Placement" dropdown. You can also specify which pages or posts you want that Footer to appear. I hope that helps!

Clifton, I noticed when you are in the custom header 27:39 that you have 16 items available to you. I only have 4 - secondary navigation, search, social & HTML. Any idea why? I have Kadence Pro and Kadence Pro blocks installed. Though technically I would have 3 more because I used Logo, Primary navigation and button in the header area. I can't figure out why mine looks so different (and limited!). Thanks for another great video. Your videos are the most helpful of all the Kadence videos on KZitem.
@CliftonWP
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Marian! I appreciate you! If you have Kadence Pro installed, you will want to make sure you have the "Header Add-ons" option toggled on. Go to your dashboard, then hover over "Appearance", click on "Kadence", scroll down to the Pro-addons section and toggle the "Header Add-ons" toggle switch to "on". That will give you all the extra header widgets. 🙂I hope that helps!

Hi Clifton, what is a default element? I don't seem to have that option. I have to choose between "content section," "fixed section," "template" and "html" - cheers, Dan

Thank you Daniel! A default element is now called the "content section". Kadence has made some changes to the nomenclature since I made this video. I'll be making an update soon. 🙂
