One trick from fine art sketching that I brought with me to photography and photoshop manipulation to understand direction of light is to start with one direction and work through the entire image. So if the light is coming from the top right, I'll start by adding shadows the the left side of everything, vertically, and then move to adding shadows beneath everything horizontally. Personally, I find this helps prevent missing areas, as you move through the entire image focusing only on one specific plane at a time.
@Encreate
3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I totally agree with you. If we start moving around the whole image then we are bound to miss out on some areas. Thanks for the helpful tip!

Video was really hepful. Just keep in mind that is a LOT easier and time saving to clip solid color layer to the subject layer if the color is leaking. That way you can just paint over the subject and the background but the color will still remain only on the subject because it's clipped to him.

@Encreate

Hi there! I have a few complete manipulation tutorials. You can check them here - kzitem.info/news/bejne/q6RszHZpbnSha3Y and kzitem.info/news/bejne/xnmpvJNuhIRkd4I But unfortunately they are one of my least popular videos 😅 As for highlights on a rough stone, the same technique in this video should work. You just need to play a bit more with the Blend-If section to see what settings best reveal the underlying details. Hope this help 👍

Hello friend I want to know when you started learning photoshop I love photoshop very much and I want to be a good designer like you. I started learning Photoshop three months ago, I don't study at any institution I watch photoshop tutorial videos on KZitem and learn photoshop. It's been a month since I've been watching your videos. I like your videos very much. Friend, the question for you was, did you learn Photoshop at any institution? and how long have you been learning Photoshop? Please answer me.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your interest in my content and I am glad to know that you like them! :) Well, I self learned Photoshop mostly from KZitem and self experimentation. But I have been using Photoshop for more than 10 years now. To answer your question, no I didn't learn at any institution, it is all self taught. I hope this helps you :) Let me know if you have any other questions. Best regards

Hi! I have one quick question. I have seen other youtubers/videos (like benny productions) use hue/sat layers for highlights instead of solids. Is there a scenario where you should be using one or the other?
@Encreate
3 жыл бұрын
Yes, correct! Since there are multiple ways in Photoshop which will give you the same the result, you can use any one of the methods in which you feel comfortable. I also use the hue/sat layers when the highlight is not that strong. Because increasing the lightness in hue/sat can wash out the colors. So for strong colored highlights I use solids. But I switch between them often. Hope I could answer you correctly.
