I wonder how often you are told that you have a good voice for asmr. I love listening to you talk. So relaxing and also very interesting and helpful.

The earrings are beautiful. Good technique just a few suggestions, 1 use a small spoon or popsicle stick to scoop glitter into bezel. You won't end up with glitter all over your hands, resin bottle, work surface etc. 2 place uv resin bottle away from uv lamp or sunlight especially when you are pouring out. Even though in a black bottle it can heat up and begin to cure.

I *_highly_* recommend using a cheap surgical mask (available at drug stores, home improvement stores like Lowe's and Home Depot, as well as Wal-Mart and Target) and goggles when using the really fine glitter used here as well as when using mica powder. The very first time I used this type of glitter, I accidentally knocked the jar over as I was bending down to pick up the pliers I had dropped, and I got a ton of glitter in both eyes, and it was _very_ difficult to get out. I also inhaled it, and was sneezing sparkles for weeks. I inhaled a bit of mica powder once as well just bending over a project to get a better look at what I was doing. Not pleasant. It's very cheap to buy both goggles and a mask, it only takes a few seconds to put them on, and it could potentially save you a lot of needless suffering.

Could I use diamond glaze instead of the resin? Thanks Terri

Hello! Unfortunately, the Diamond Glaze will not achieve the same effect. Diamond Glaze is intended to be used as an adhesive. Thanks for watching!

UV resin will fit well in most kinds of shallow bezels like these. If a bezel it's small enough to make into a comfortable earring it should be small enough. What's important is that it is has that small lip or wall around the edge, which will hold the resin. Resin acts like a very strong glue and will stick to most materials after several days to dry, but won't stick well to silicone.

Question on the UV lamp, If you plan on making 3 pair of earrings, could you place more than one piece at a time such as three pairs?
@beadaholique

You can certainly place more than one piece at a time, it will just depend on the size of your earrings . We can confirm that anything inside the lamp will receive an even amount of light. The inside area is approximately 4x2inches. Thanks for watching!

Hi. Can I use any kind of resin cure in uv light? Or it must be have uv in the name?
@beadaholique
8 жыл бұрын
+iwonabr It needs to have UV in the name. There are many different types of resins available but unless they specifically state "UV" it is best to assume that they will not cure in a UV light.

Cute project, does beadaholique carry the UV light?? If not, where is the best place to purchase this one. I have one that I use for nails but they have a timer so it doesn't stay on for 15 minutes.

Why do you have the uv light on continously while working?
@beadaholique

We had it on just to demonstrate how the light works, but we can confirm the light only needs to be on while the piece is curing. Thanks for watching!

Excellent tutorial. I was in a store today where they had similar type of jewelry. It sold for a pretty high price. I told my daughter I would make her something. I have resin that is used to make the faux water look in a vase with silk flowers. Would this also work for jewelry? Also, on the package it states that it is for a one time use. I will have a lot left over, how can I keep my leftover resin without it being ruined?

Since I am not entirely sure what the resin is that you have, I can't say if it will for sure work or not. Is it a 2 part resin that you have? Is there a name I could look up to see if I think it will work? For the resin you have, do you have to use the entire package all at once, is that what they mean by one time use? Our resin lets you measure out what you want and save the rest for later. Sorry I can't be more help at this stage, I think I need to see what you are trying to use before I can answer the questions.

The name of the resin is Quick Water. It has two containers and I did try it. So far things are turning out. It does take a few days to dry. I think that may be because of the humidity in my area. I mixed a small portion of each so I have been able to make quite a few pendants. Hopefully it will harden completely. Thank you for getting back with me.

with uv resin can you use silicone molds
@beadaholique
9 жыл бұрын
Lena Conway I have not used UV resin with any molds. Honestly I am not sure how it would work or how you would get the entire mold under the UV light. If you are okay possibly losing a mold, I would say to experiment a little and see what happens - just don't do a whole batch. I have used 2 part resin with molds and it works great.
