Whatever you do, Do Not Speed your Hotend or your Bed Quickly from one side to the other with the Power Supply Turned On or Off. You will Blow the Transistors and Capacitors on your Control Board with EMI Spikes. Brushed and Brushless Motors when Spun Rapidly in Reverse become Generators and will Produce Electrical Spikes through the Wires back into the Control Board. Great video, thanks for the shar. One piece of advice - when leveling the bed, I always adjust by LOWERING the bed, i.e. tensioning the spring with the adjustment wheel at each corner clockwise (looking up from the bottom of the printer). When you EASE the bed up to the nozzle, I find it doesn't hold its position, it changes a little bit afterwards. It is like tuning a guitar string - you always tune from below, tightening the string, never easing the string.

I had a problem with one of the limit switches, after much testing I found these switches have a fundamental flaw. If the bolts holding the switch are tightened too tight they can scratch the switches pcb and end up connecting the switch to the frame which is naturally ground. I fixed this problem with the addition of some neoprene washers on the bolts. 👍

There is no need to use the height stick that you made. Simply loosen the limit switch and an manually move the nozzel hotend down until it hits the bed then push the limit switch up or down until it enages. Tighten up the limit switch then manually adjust each bed corner with the wheels. If you power up the printer you can also disable the stepper motors so you can manually move each axis without force.
@Zachary3DPrints
3 жыл бұрын
Just that is indeed also possible. I used that stick end, because it had similar size as the glass bed. And with that, you don't loose too much print height. And this was also one of my earlier videos

Place your glass bed (carefully) between the 'leg' and the end-stop, tight the screws, carefully remove the glass plate from the 'leg' and the end-stop. Home your printer, disable the stepper motors, put the glass plate back, and check how much room there is. Do homing again and a disable to start leveling the bed.

I am currently moving z motors by hand clockwise to avoid this issue but it is not giving output as expected kindly advise if there is a way to fix this issue by increasing z motor position after each layer by changing printing configuration in Slic3r or in Merlin firmware. Oh that is very awesome, making your own 3D Printer! I'm working on one too, digitally that is... Which board are you using? How many stepper-motors do you have? Is there enough current? Are the stepper-motor wires correct(are the pair of wires on the stepper-motor side twisted?)? And which Lead-screws are you using? Threaded Rods(screw-rods) they have the Esteps of 2560mm/s, the Creality lead-screws (T8/ 4 start) have an Esteps of 400mm/s, when they are single start then it is 1600mm/s. Just let me know, very willing to you out.

Hey buddy, issues with the Z-limit switch, loose the 2 screws, move the bracket a bit up and then down and screw it tight, T-nuts are designed to twist horizontal then tightening them. For your control panel, please check your connector if that one is pushed in fully, because on the mainboard side, it's hot-glued in place
@ZalvaTionZ
3 жыл бұрын
@@Zachary3DPrints I figured it out after writing this comment. The issues with T-nuts was not loosening them to the point they were almost falling off from the screw (and where they fell off on few attampts), otherwise they wouldn't go into the ridges on the printer frame.
