Wow, your hair has gotten long! I use the hair dryer for 20 minutes, then straighten with the fine tooth comb on my blow dryer for no more than 5 minutes, and it really straightens my hair. My course hair is softer after growing back after chemo, so yes, it took some time to relearn what my hair likes. I have learned quite a few new tips thanks to my KZitem relaxed hair sisters. Thank you! Love you, Dom! 💕💕💕

Your hair looks FABULOUS. Long, thick, healthy. I usually set my hair and go under the dryer, but I am trying to get into air drying. I just requested to join your Facebook group😭 I’m so glad I found your page I’ve learned so much in just a day, my hair has always been super big and grows out thick, it’s been hard to try to keep up and being a college student hair is so expensive…I’ve kept a low cut for the last 12 years and I wanted to grow out of that. My first relaxer experience was terrible, I ended up shaving my head all over again and growing it the past two years now, again I had it relaxed and it went well but when I went to go get my roots done again my edges chunked out and my hair got thinner. My head felt like it was on fire the entire day. I kept putting Vaseline in and it eventually felt normal again. Now I don’t want to shave it again and I’m hoping wearing a wig or putting it in a sew in could help it get better. For the first time I realized the fact that they’ve been getting the relaxer on my scalp! Thank you so much for all this amazing content!

@MsStarryNights

This came right on time because I am still new to air drying and I plan to do so today! I also agree if your hair is texlaxed (under processed) air drying will be a mess especially if your hair is naturally kinky lol. It’s about as bad as air drying natural type 4 hair then trying to comb through it. When I finally got my hair to a fully processed state like hers, air drying worked for me.
@StyleDomination
2 жыл бұрын

@narrington7453
2 жыл бұрын
@@MsStarryNights This is my exact situation right now. My hair has been so under processed and it's been causing so much breakage and damage that I just want to cry. I have nearly three to four inches of under processed hair near my roots (mostly in the center crown area), then a gap and then a bit more under processed near the ends. I never wanted or intended to have texlaxed hair. I'm so upset because I actually PAY a professional hairstylist in a salon to relax and my hair every 8-10 weeks and these are the results😞! I know she uses Affirm system with lye and I still get these under processed results. I believe it is her technique because I didn't have this issue before. My hair was always fully processed and smooth back in the day. Plus Affirm has this conditioner solution to apply before the shampoo that I believe may not be good for my coarse hair. I'm wondering if I should just self relax at home so I can get the results I want. My stylist does mostly natural hair and she doesn't know why this is happening but I have a feeling that she just doesn't care. Good hair stylists that care for relaxed hair are so hard to find nowadays.

Hi Danielle! Ok - I did a big chop. My hair was dead. Once those split ends were gone, I focused on no heat for about two months. I moisturized and sealed about 3-4 times a week. I also threw out most of my products that had a lot of protein (my hair was suffering from protein overload - it was dry and brittle). I wear it up a lot too which helps. I stopped wrapping my hair too - meaning, I no longer comb it around my head at night. That was too much manipulation for it. I now just cover it with a satin bonnet for sleeping. Lastly, I stopped combing my hair. Lol. I use my fingers to detangle and call it a day. It doesn’t work for everyone, but it works for me. So far. So good.

I just in the last 3weeks started using olaplex 3 then I washed and conditioned. Then I used ORS olive oil strength &Nourish replenishing conditioner put on a plastic cap got under the hairdryer for about 15 minutes. Rinsed it out. And my hair hasn't fell out at all. The ORS made my hair so easy to comb out. I almost cried I lost no hair washing or combing. I added "it's a 10, the purple top. My hair comb out was just mind blowing. And I don't wash my hair in the shower, I wash bending over the tub, so my hair is falling over. So when I get up it's on top of my head. I just kinda shake it down. And it doesn't fall down all the way. But I just started combing my ends and had no snarls working my way up. Up until now i was losing clumps of hair, but nothing now. Hope this helps you a bit. I know exactly what you are talking about.
