One of the best ways to refine your skills as a Character Animator is to do a walk cycle. While the exercise may seem easy, it actually takes a lot of skill to perfect a good walk cycle. How many times has your walk cycles turned out like this?
The most crucial part of any Walk cycle, or animation for that matter, is the timing so in this video I’ll show you how I set the timing of my walk-cycle. In this video, we will animate shoes first, then the rest of the body. This is one of the best technique to create walk cycle.
1st frame - right contact
3rd frame - right down
6th frame - right left switch
9th frame - right up
12th frame - left contact
15th frame - left down
18th frame - left right switch
21st frame - left up
24th frame - right contact (loop)
Its time to animate the body & head to apply the key on rotation at right contact then go to right leg switch & add rotation around, 6 degree & copy paste starting key on left contact Paste Sequence couple of time to get extra frames for offset isse loop break in hoga also bad m hum loop out laga denge Same add rotation & ease-ease add rotation Keyframe around -4 or 5 degree on head because it create offset with body when move & ab thoda offset add Karenge
Left hand left leg k opposite jata h so jab leg aage hoga will rotate arm backward & palm toda jayda rotate hoga
Same jab leg piche hoga will move the arm forward, add rotation in all three layers of arm and add offset to give follow through
