We begin this episode by taking a look at what materials you’ll need, including your graduation cap and stole, vinyl cutter, heat press, heat transfer vinyl and more. Next, we do a brief demo of how to set up and import your design using our SignMaster CUT+ARMS vinyl cutting software.
Then, we show you how to load your vinyl sheet into your cutter and go over the settings you’ll need for this project. After making sure our stole design is reversed for HTV and we’ve done an area test, we'll show you the proper technique for cutting and weeding your design.
Once we have our design ready, you'll learn how to properly transfer a vinyl design onto a stole using a Ricoma Auto Open Flat Heat Press. Then, we go through the same process for the graduation cap, offering up an extra pro tip for working with a garment that isn’t completely flat. Finally, we’ll discuss the kind of profit margins you can expect from a project like this.
