I'm glad I found you all, it was tricky finding a supplier for the girodisc oem rotor discs.

NO HONESTLY! I just got a grand sport and wanted to do some looking around to see how much parts are and 2 new front rotors for another brand is 1200 and its hard to find the right diameter. Do you know where to go the brake pads as well?

Yes that is the size. So far we have used them on some corvette and Camaro models.

For proper torque value don’t you have to have your hand grip on the knurled end of the torque wrench?

thank you very much for your tutorial. Question can the rotor ring be machined? I appreciate the information

Just an observation. But the OEM look to have larger spacing between the cooling fins. Are there any downsides to have more/smaller cooling fins on the after market ones verses the OEM?

Are these rotor rings 370x34mm? If so, then the rings could be used on a few other applications, too.

Can this be done for 2 piece carbon ceramic brake rings, or is it just for the iron rings?

The GM ones CCM rotors are assembled in a similar fashion but we have not done one mostly because there are no replacement CCM rings that we know of. Also, based on the major difference in materials the CCM's likely have at least some difference in design for the rotor/hat attachment.

What about 6th Gen ZL1's which have the same rotor ring as the Z06, but a different hat? Will these Z06 rings bolt up to ZL1 hats?

Is there any additional benefits to the DBA rotors vs. OEM rotors? i.e. are they lighter than stock or do they cool better?
@knsbrakes608

The DBA discs are actually heavier and utilize a stronger and more efficient vane design for better heat management. They are made from a quality iron alloy and heat treated as well. This is aimed at improving the life under racing/track conditions

When I measured the new DBA rings vs my worn OEM rings the DBA were lighter.

Ecadman87 I referred to the Corvette OEM rings. The Camaro and ATS-V rings are different “on the inside”

Rotating mass is great to get rid of, but in brakes sometimes the mass is better for improvement in repeated heavy stopping.
