Welcome back to a simple DIY video on how to attach java moss to rock using super glue. The rock i am using in this project is a coral rock that weights roughly around 5 kg. I gave the rock a good rinse and soaked it in hot water for couple of hours to kill any parasites and germs. Then i dried the rock using microfiber cloth. Super glue that i have used to make a moss rock is just a generic brand that contains cyanoacrylate adhesive which is aquarium safe. I added some glue to the rock and sat moss on top. I repeated the process and attach moss at 4 different spots on the rock using glue. With time, moss will start growing in the aquarium and will cover the entire rock. I also put Anubias plant attached to a driftwood right next to moss rock in the aquarium.
Half of the aquarium will be covered with aquatic plants (Java Moss Rock and Anubias on Driftwood) and other half will be empty and bare bottom. Which will make it easy for me to clean the water, siphon excess food and remove fish waste. It will be a good habitat for guppy fish that i am planning to put in the aquarium.
Coral Rock: $20
Java Moss: $10
Anubias on Driftwood: $40
