We proceed to Attach Watch and the dial in the movement. This operation has an added difficulty in this particular case, since when we disassembled the dial we realized that one of the two anchors was broken. This is something that can be easily found on vintage watches that are purchased in a non-working condition. The breakage of one or both of the dial's anchors results in a breakdown that can be delayed or stops the movement since the dial rubs against the axes of the hour wheel or the second hand. It can even bend or split the second hand axis in the worst case.
There are several ways to solve this problem:
- Change the dial for another that has its anchors in good condition.
- Weld the broken anchor.
- Paste the original dial with double-sided adhesive.
- Stick the original dial with liquid contact adhesive.
Finally, the assembly of the needles only has the difficulty of adjusting two o'clock at twelve o'clock so that later at all o'clock the minute hand points at twelve o'clock.
