This video addressed the problem I am facing exactly after our bathroom remodel. I chose a clear glass shade and have tried 3 of the bulbs you mention and show in the video already. I know that disco bulb because it was the one Home Depot had recommended to go with my light fixtures when we purchased. Most of the ST19 Edison bulbs are 5 1/2" long, I have learned, and too long for my shades -- they stick out the bottom. Even though the 440 lumens one says it is 5 1/2' long, it is actually shorter than that, which is why I think Home Depot recommended it for my fixture. So, in the end, however, the perfect light bulb that you found might not be my solution because it will probably be too long for my light fixture. This is the worse case of buyer's regret I've ever had. I will continue the quest. Maybe I will find a bulb with a shorter length that has the qualities of the one you found to be the solution.

Ugh, I just purchased some bulbs for a clear glass light fixture in my kitchen this morning. I decided to try out 2700k 500 lumen Edison style spiral "filament" bulbs. I should be able to return them if I don't end up liking the color or brightness. I think a kitchen is probably more forgiving than above a bathroom mirror since you don't really have to look directly toward the bulb much.

Get RBG&W Strip LED's and a cable & corner kit and do under the toe spaces under your cabinets, inside your cabinets and above your sink. Put a piece of trim down an inch to cover the light from coming into your face and hook it to an automatic on/off switch on a timer when no movement is detected. Saves a ton of money and its KEWL, TOO !!!

Dude I feel your pain. After almost a year I found 3500k LED bulbs with clear glass for an exposed fixture. That's what I've found to be the perfect balance, not too yellow and not too blue. Now someone needs to make a 3500k under cabinet light so I can actually have uniformity in the house
@Mr.Meme01
2 жыл бұрын
The struggle is real for trying to find 3500k light bulbs, to me they are the true 'white' bulb for indoors, and yet they are so hard to find or when you do find them they're way over priced. I have no clue why they aren't more popular.
