Thank you for watching. Let me know which tip do you find the most applicable to your voice? Comment below. Here is a link to a video about the laryngeal massage that I mentioned in the video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1qNmzKRorGSBiKQ

Yes! I am so glad you left this message. It may seem like an unlikely approach but meditation really works! Thank you for sharing. What other aspects of singing did meditation help with?
@MulberryGate
4 жыл бұрын
@@healthyvoicetips Well, I would say it helps with memory and pitch, having more clarity of mind about the melody I am singing. Also, I believe it helps me to express my own voice and personality.

@@MulberryGate Thank you for sharing. That is very interesting. I will have to pay attention to all of these aspects after my meditation.

The incorrect posture is one I'm guilty of. It's surprising how much that we take for granted has an effect on the vocal cords. Well-explained video.

I've had a lot of strain issues over the last 5 years or so and your tips are always appreciated. Posture, breath support and technique have all been instrumental in improving. I've recently started to do meditation as well - learning the Ziva Meditation method which is two 15 minute sessions per day in a nicely structured way has been great.

Thank-you so much for all of your video's. The laryngeal massage is helping a lot. I have discovered I was using a combination of bad technique, force, over use and bad posture, etc., put together with life stress, I ended up with strained suprahyoid muscles. All of your videos are helping and I am sharing with my Osteopath and voice pathologist. Very grateful singer!

Hi Wendy! Thank you very much for your lovely comment! I am glad my videos made you aware of all the components that may have interfered with free voicing. It's great to hear that you work with an osteopath and voice pathologist. You are in good hands!

Try these tips and also check my other videos on this topic. But it seems that your problem is more emotional than anything else. If you feel stressed, anxious to talk to other people, the muscles will contract and strain. Have you talked to your doctor or someone else about this?

@@healthyvoicetips no i never talked to anyone about this. it sometime that start happening when i quit my job to be at home with my kids. I dont really talk to anyone and a camera sometime. Now i do more videos without talking in them.

Hi. Thanks for the useful information. I have undergone microlaryngoscopy 9 months back and followed all precautions post surgery. After that I get vocal strain very often after voice use for longer time in official meetings. Please suggest some remedies for this.
@healthyvoicetips

Have you had any voice therapy? Sometimes after surgery, you create compensatory strategies to produce sound that strain your voice. It looks like you should learn to use your voice in a more relaxed way and a voice therapist can help with that.

@@healthyvoicetips yes I had taken voice therapy. But the therapist had very limited knowledge. He has given me some exercises. But I hv been insisting of giving me some speech therapy tips which he is unable to. U are absolutely right. I need to learn how to speak without straining my voice. Can u pls help me with that. The phonatory gap which is created after surgery due to removal of cyst also needs to be closed. Looking forward for ur tips and help. Thanks in advance

Hi Abdul, I would love to answer your question but I don't know the cause of your vocal strain so I cannot give you any answers. Have you seen a specialist? Maybe a specialist will be able to answer your questions after proper examination and asssessment.
