This week we get everything cleaned off and set at ride height to start the fabrication of all the links. The ride height is essentially set at the frame. Its gets us at 4 inches above the ground. Its kind of the easy way out but it just worked out that way as well. We strapped it and then welded the axle straight above center line right against the bottom of the frame. Our pinion angle is set a 4 degrees up as it matches the 4 degree downward angle from the transmission.
Be sure and stay tuned and subscribe as we plan to build this truck over a series of episodes. We call this project "Project Fun Bags".
